Hello
In a couple of months I'm finally going to upgrade my monitors. The budget will be around 2000 euros for pair (for new). For my room i don't need bigger ones than 7 or 8 inches i think (currently i have Alesis M1 active MK2). Any advices? Thanks

monitor is really personal thing , hard to choose.. you would need at least few weeks in your studio with each pairs. good thing is in your price range you can t really go wrong. |

Used Dynaudio BM15A are in your budget...a good buy will leave you enough cash for a second hand pair of the old NS-10s.
Monitoring = sorted.

The Adams piss over the other monitors mentioned here, get a nice sub on top of that and you'll be set!!!

me i rate like focal = adam when comapring monitor in same price range but it s different sound.
both better than dynaudio to me .. but dynaudio is already really great just too expensive for the old bm6a
i would be happy with any of these monitors i guess.;to me the room matter more than the speakers used with monitors in this league, all are capable to deliver great mix |

Focal are indeed good, but they are a lot more pleasing and forgiving to the ear, and you don't want that when it comes to mixing/mastering. The Adams translate very good to all kinds of sound systems, from PA to Hifi.
By the way, nice to see you're still here Medea!

i dont find them more pleasing that could be personal i think , both translate just as good to me.
you really need to mix on them , more pleasing don t mean it will not translate better than a less pleasing monitor. the bm6a in a good room translate great too |
