For me that´s the BEST VIDEO ON EARTH John!

It was recorded by a friend of Mr. Dana White... And you can see the shoccccked face of Miss White when Machida exploded Evan´s face... - she turned her face to not see the KO! HEHEHE

Suddenly, Mr. Fertita (ufc´s owner) talks to White something like ''Hell, what is this??? Unbelivable!''...

And then, when Dana is walking to put the belt in Lyoto, Rasha´s wife was cryyying a lot, thinking her husband was dead....

WELCOME TO THE MACHIIIIDA KARATE!

MACHIIIIDA ERA!

Bring them all! I am sure Machida put everbody to Sleep!

P.s. - Pavel, add me bro! I am looking for black belts sparring friends here! = GuiMilani

also too much hype with fedor. Pls, dont take me bad, i think he is a great fighter but this "best mma fighter of history" is a big joke. marketing. cant believe people actually buy this history
i admit i dont know so much about him, of course i remember some fights and pride, so maybe i am beeing unfair you can correct me

but he never fought in UFC, wich in my opinion is the best mma championship of history. for me its like saying someone is the best basketball player and never played on NBA.
also didnt fight in the ufc old times (with few rules, 3 fights in the same day, no gloves)

but thats not about "ufc" anyway. if i saw him destroying some of the monsters of mma in other championships then i would have nothing to say, but i just never saw it. honestly, what top guys did you see him beating?
randleman, minotauro (by decision), coleman ..and then what? tim sylvia, andrei arlovski? tsuyoshi Kohsaka, and a big list of unknow guys, who more?

talking about the brazilian fighters, he only fought with minotauro (won by decision), ricardo arona, babalu-sobral and zuluzinho(?). Is that right?
if yes then its impressive..simply, never fought a gracie, lol.
also never fought with: marco ruas, pedro rizo, murilo bustamante, vitor belfort, anderson silva, machida.
not to mention he never fought with randy couture, chuck lidell, frank shamrock, tito ortiz, etc..
ahh, come on

his next fight scheduled is with brett rogers (who is brett rogers?) that never fought with anyone important. is that a fight for the best mma fighter of all times?
he seems to like to stay in a safe world where he is "the best mma fighter of history" making fighs with unknow guys in strange competions. and dont want to risk it.

I dont want to defend Fedor because I dont believe he's the best fighter in history but Anderson Silva, Lyoto Machida, Vitor Belfort, Shogun Rua are all light heavyweight fighters 205lbs, Emelianenko is heavyweight ~~265lbs. And the Graciemadness I dont know, its a superior groundgame but you need so much more than that nowadays compared to what you did back in the Royce Gracie days in early UFC.

The people you should mention are Brock Lesnar (which to me has nothing to do in mma, but still the champion he remains), Shane Carwin, Gabriel Gonzaga, Cheick Kongo, Noguiera (who recently had a light heavyweight fight against Randy Couture and won) and one of my favourites Cain Velazques who recently destroyed Kongo and will fight Ben Rothwell.

It was first settled with a fight between Cain Velazques and Shane Carwin to decide who would get their 5 rounds with Brock Lesnar but due to various reasons Shane moved up and got the titlefight.

But for sure keeps producing serious top contenders in all of MMA and different weightclasses and they have great ancestors who are still active like the Noguiera brothers and I also heard that Wanderlei Silva will put the gloves aside and start coaching full-time.

my cents.

hey, nice to see your opinions on this.
but lets go...

i dont even entered in the weight stuff for basicly 2 reasons:1) in the old days there were no weight divisions. 2) fighters can change to diferent weight categories during all the career.
marco ruas, gracie and many other i mentioned fought without weight classes
vitor belfort got tank abott in ufc brasil, so im not sure if it was 'light' heavyweight

that said, honestly, you didnt give one good argument about fedor. you even try to disqualify gracie (witch is crazy) when the fact is that i mentioned many and many other amazing fighters

and then you say that the people i should mention is brock lesnar, shane carvin and cain velazquez... serious, those are the fighters that marked you in all mma history? crazy

brock lesnar is the current champion of ufc, and then what? there were many ufc champions during all those years. he is just one more, and nothing so speciall.
Its not about beeing champion of a tournament, its about all the history and career.
if in football India wins a worldcup, does it makes India one of the best in football history? No.

also, its not a 'brazilian' issue. the thing is that taking out one or two cases, he didnt fight the best USA fighters and the best Brazil fighters, 2 of the most strong and traditional countries in mma

even if its true that "nowadays" you need much more, the fact remains: he never fought any gracie, not 'nowadays' and not in the 'old days'.
another thing that your explanation hides: if today the game changed, and as you say, fighters "need much more", thats because of those old guys like gracie
gracie influenced a hole generation of fighters, making people from other styles interested in ground game and 'bjj', changing the sport in an amazing way. like other guys continue to push and change the game

Im sorry if you have misunderstood me, I am a big fan of the Gracie family, I was not defending Fedor and I was only talking about contemporary matters such as the current champion. I am in no way implicating that Brock Lesnar is the best, far from it. I personally think he sucks! And as you said, without the Gracie's where would MMA be?

Maybe now the 'Machida Era' will come!

Cheers
