minimal... that is incorrect, well i think that term becomes so popular for cause of people like trentemoller, people think this genre is more ¨elevated¨, more ¨finest¨, and they think if they mix, produce or heard this they becomes more than other people who heard for example psychedelic hyper full on jeje, music is music, dont be pretentious, clean your ego. Also.. this genres are not only minimal, especifically, tech, minimal tech house, dub, hyper dub, minimal trance, tech trance, experimental, idm, and this genres have years and years, they dont born yesterday:P...
gui boratto is not minimal, is more experimental
m.a.n.d.y. makes minimal but also makes delicious more powerfull and progressive rythms
lee burridge, puts some minimal but is a psychedelic minimal and put more songs of acid house
this artists, mix many and many genres and put they iin a fantastics sets, they dont mix only ¨minimal¨
please be more open mind, and clean your ego |

Hmmm let's try and start an interesting dialogue.
Do you think minimal is Psychedelic?
Do you think minimal can relate to Goa trance?
Do you think that the scenes or genres can converge or they are too way apart?
What do you think/feel when you listen psy, when you listen minimal?

Anything can be Psychedelic, it is totaly a subjective thing, depends on where your mind takes you, your view makes something psychedelic or not, your preception.
And saying that bleepy sounds @ 140 BPM is psychedelic is the same as saying that Minimal techno is psychedelic, totaly irrelevant' it's a byproduct of a collective Consciousness, Fashion i would call that, that's why the subjective thingy can seems vague sometimes...
so the way i see it each one should decide for him self what's psy and what's not for the best psy experience results

I think minimal is psychedelic, in fact I just started a topic about that in trance section.
Minimal rlates to goa as far as both are related to RAVE, HArd acid Techno and New wave genres that were the first in the "rave scene". I think both are the result of differente aproximations to resolve one quiz ¿how to be more abstrac and more fluid?
Thay can converge, like in your last party of, Radiance, we have full on, progre, ele4ctro and techno I was having a real good time listening to really good music in different styles. I have to say I get bored in parties where there is only one style, with so much good music outthere its a shame to close the door to other styles.
good psy(Mr peculiar, Prometheus, oood) its trip in to deeeper fields of imagination.
Minimal is a trip to nowhere, a place so asbtrac it cant be describe.
Do you rememeber that movie fantasia from disney? ok, minimal reminds me the abstrac animations (the first one) and psy reminds me more of complex histories. |

sure for me minimal is psychedelic , liquid , trippy ...but i'm not sure if this music can converg to goa scene, not the same culture ...maybe one day
