I will from time to time upload some vids (as i learn) featuring my minibrute...
I feel there are no vids on the net that could show the potential in the style of music we do so this purchase was a leap of faith for me so far im loving it

I find the MB a unique sounding synth, and even though I am not a fan of its somewhat "metallic-nasal" attributes, I can't fault it, as its so cheap and the I/O properties of it are something that you have to pay extra to acquire in much more expensive Moog synths (which is a joke imo).
Don't like the saw but I do like the square output of it though.
I'd rather get the Bass Station II or MS-20 Mini first.
Who knows, if one pops up dirt cheap I might buy it.
I'm on the verge of buying the Boomstar SEM, but this synth does indeed sound good as well.
But what does the metalizer effect do exactly?
Is it some analog modulation sort of thing or is it digital?
and here is one for the saw i dont think i will ever use it on my faster projects without resampling it but the randomnes could be cool on some slower tracks
Nice way of tweaking it, even i'm more now turning away from it. There is something wrong in the sound which gives me creeping out feeling.. Very static and dangerous acid berry on top of the creamy cake..

I played around with my friend's minibrute and ms-20 mini as I was interested in both, but the minibrute definitely won the contest in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, they're both really nice synths, but somehow the minibrute just kept demanding my attention. It can do some really awesome sounds and the build quality also felt more solid to me.
Come next month, this will be the next addition (and the first analog one!) to my setup.
It's very nice having now played one after borrowing from a friend. I'm definitely buying one soon. Also borrowed MS-20 Mini, IMO waste of money. Noisy & too time consuming. I'd rather go fully modular than buy a MS-20 mini.
After Mini Brute & my modular, a sub Phatty maybe.

yeah i was having a debate with myself to to buy the ms20 or the minibrute and i decided to go with the mini as the first one to buy...
-im not the "modular type"
-much faster to work with
-minibrute is built like a tank (saw some reviews and they showed that the ms20 knobs are really wobbly)
-additional options on the oscilators like Ultrasaw, pulse width, metalizer give an amazing range of sounds out of this, small and cheap synth
but that been said i havent stoped lookin at the ms20mini but i just delayed the inevitable but first, next on the list is a Korg Volca Bass

Well I never really saw the point of semi-modular. Either to all the way or don't. It's my birthday in a week so my wifey is getting me the minibrute. I'm also building now a full 12u eurorack modular system.
Moog Sub Phatty would be a nice inclusion, but am considering shelving that idea and going a Prophet 08 desktop.
It's not all just for me, there's a lot to be made income wise here in renting out a good home studio so that's also part of my plan.
semi with lot of pre patched stuff internally let you concentrate more on making music when inspiration strike than modular and still offer big flexibility !
Mmmm. But you can't patch an amazing array of unique analogue sounds letting it run for days on end developing & changing according to tuning, temperature etc. until it becomes its own unique being of sound.
I'll most likely end up having a bit of everything, maybe even a Nord Lead 4 desktop. I'd never by a Virus TI tho. Biggest waste of money for whats essentially a vst in a keyboard.
