I am *so* there!

Last year was amazing - and the location was SOOO sweet... I was hoping it would be the same place this year...

/DP           On really romantic evenings of self, I go salsa dancing with my confusion...

Back early from what turned out to be a quite nice surprise – except for the weather. To be honest I was a bit sceptical before the party, but already when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The location was a small clearance inside a forest some hundred meters away from the sea, and with a big hut in one side. The decos where pretty good: lots of big, colourful backdrops, stringart over the dancefloor and different kinds of lighting over the dancefloor and inside the forest.

I was the first to play, and I started around 20:00, playing for an empty dancefloor for almost all my set – was scheduled to play for 1½ hour, but Psypox was late, so I continued for another 45 minutes until he showed up. Psypox’ DJ-set was phat minimal music as expected (starting with the Minimal Criminals “Disco Shit” if I remember correctly) and later on he played with Moses. Unfortunately it started raining during Psypox’ set, so most of the people went indoors.

Kristian went on in the middle of the night, and he didn’t disappoint. Without a doubt the best mixing-technique of all the sets I heard, and also a very good trackselection. Full on, but very tasty and with a nice flow – good set from the well-established Phantasm and Transient DJ.

Swedish Djane Anneli played an ok set in the morning. Technically not as good as expected, and I wasn’t too happy with all the tracks she played – but all in all it was fun to dance too, and it was liberating with a morning set without too many Israeli full on hits.

Went to bed half an hour later or something and woke up 10 minutes into Psypox’ liveset, that started at noon. Pretty ok set – relatively dark and sinister, and was definitely more suitable for a nighttime set. T.R. played afterwards, but when the rain started pouring down (and I wasn’t feeling too well) I decided to leave for home. Unfortunately I missed Frogacult, Fine Diner and a few more I had been looking forward to.

Despite the weather, and different minor glitches like a missing chillout and a pretty messy lineup, I had a pretty good time. Compared to the bigger festivals, this was more like a weekend-long outdoor party (I think around 300 attended), but all in all it was quite enjoyable. Looking back at the party, the best was Kristians DJ-set, the fine location and setup, and of course all the new people and old friends and acquaintances that I met. See you next year
