well, Said is THE hummus man as far as i know and the countryside is beautiful up there in Akko...
i was told there you eat as much hummus as you want but you pay for one plate only. anyone who can finish more than one plate must have a bottomless stomach and the ability to stay awake through the most lulling of lullabies...hehehe. mmmm huMmmmMmous

sorry to dissapoint u Michelle but Said has turned from an amazing tasting authntic humusia to a commercial chain and the taste is all gone.... besides who has strength to wait 30 minutes for a table bunched between the turists?
there are better places....
the underground humus scene in Akko is still alive !

I must admit that Massabaha @ old Abu Hasan in Yafo is great, but the Humus isnt THAT great... On the other hand on Ahuza st., in Ra'anana there is the only jewish HUMMUS that can compete with our cousins, and it's the Tan'ami Houmus Bar...
