Can somebody give me a tip?
Seems all psytrance I hear/find is "hard". But I'm looking for melodies like on SST "Lightbeams",but
even more melodic. The kind of crystal clear produced 135 bpm-trance with not so "tek-tek-tek" kicks, more groovy with deep driving lines. But not progressive psytrance, that's kind of
boring to me. A trance-record has to tell a story with a (massive) buildup for me.
I can't really explain what I mean,but if you do,tips for artists/labels/compilations are welcome.

what you mean, as I see it, is trance from 95-98 - which are the years of melodic ideas and hey! also buildups.

look that direction you'll be the happiest.           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

Aren't there any artists/labels nowadays who make really melodic stuff, using new technology/sounds? I don't wonna go nostalgia.
Maybe 'buildup' is a bad expression. I mean a record should have a beginning, middle, end and not like:beat+bassline start-sounds fly in&out-beat
stops.

OK, I know you said no progressive, but Antix - Lull definitely tells a story, has massive buildups, is not too tek, is crystal clear, extremely melodic, atmospheric. Might not be exactly what you had in mind, but if you give it a listen, you might start looking for this kind of music instead.           Load Universe into Cannon. Aim at Brain. Fire.

It looks like you really need to listen to Yahel. Try Avalanche or For the People.

Also, check out old Platipus, the Terra Ferma CD Turtle Crossing or Union Jack CD There will be no Armageddon.

Or check out the song Blue Pill by Blue Planet Corporation, soooo beautiful.           Check out my album: http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/gay-satanic-hippie-tiefenrausch
