I mean, have u tried meditation? Sometimes it can help to have better sleep, because you "work" with your mind before.

It is always wise to know your pursuit :

we have one conscious brain and one subconscious brain or say MIND now the subconscious part is a file system but the files are like a pool of liquid or say a pool of energy or water ,... i mean take whatever rocks your boat .

Now the SC brain is a record room which presents similar cases experiences when the conscious mind encounters situations of daily life or especial moments etc.

The SC part is quiet intelligent but is purely machine like which operates on permutations and combinations of different files of experiences and thus makes new outcomes which the Conscious interprets into feelings .

Over time and age as we grow we clutter a lot in our file system and resultant the reality for us a subjective phenomenon keeps changing either good , too good , bad , very bad or blissful .... all are feelings created by the file system and interpreted by our conscious mind ........

as time goes by for some the file system which is quiet like a mass of liquid or gas or energy gets stirred up by pursuit of happiness, greed , desire , inspirations , achievement , love , romance etc. and when the water is stirred the elements it contains are flickering quiet fast and thus the file system goes weak but still works on certain level of efficiency but not exactly right all the time and conscious mind still trusts on its input and does what it does best , create feelings which lead every second of our life and experiences ....... which in this case where we have grown and seen many seasons and which very subtly leads us to believe that either we are gaining wisdom or our life has become monotonus or where we feel we are growing or we may feel that a stagnation has arrived etc.

NOW what meditation does essentially is ... it stills or tries to still the file system and the process is pretty much loved by the mind and the body on a very subtle level coz thats accepted by all our parts and spirit etc. since this is a kind of healing and as we go along we achieve a kind of stillness in our subconscious which now responds "bulls eye" for every action we do there on and results in strenthening our way of reasoning and logics and thus general perception of life ........ and yes it is not any spiritual crap in my books so these were my few cents ,..... Cheers got to drink something
           To focus sometimes you need to spin hard on your soul's axis..... just don't ask how and what it means ;)

One of the Best Video i've Come across , explains the science & process of meditation in a very basic sence , its always nice to understand what your doing , especially with deep meditation Techniques,makes it easier to reach the state of mind/frequency you require to tune in to certain inner space . ex. subconcious state or sleep state/delta stage, but fully awake & aware of whats going on which means direct "access" to the subconcious and the super concious layers of our mind and its totally not rocket science hehe musicians/scientists/poets etc do that a lot knowingly or most times unknowingly (which i feel is dangerous and it is pretty evident) Hence some on the dot Insight which might really help .
