Once again I'm amazed and thankful there is a small but high quality psy scene here in phoenix. This was another amazing desert party, here is a rundown for those of you who couldn't make it.

I got there around 6pm and karmavsdogma was hanging out reading a book waiting on reinforcements from the rest of the crew. We got the rig and deco set up around sunset as a few more folks showed up.

1st on was Dionysos Pan Eros, starting out with some excellent dark atmospheric tunes and then working it up to some good beats. a very nice intro for things ahead.

next comes Hahn the Barbarian, after the last party I wondered what he could possibly have left in his bag of tricks this guy has the most unique sounds youve heard... he works them in like a magician, amazing and astonishing you with his sonic trickery and there is no doubt that he's loving every minute of it too.

up next, Avalon. i really enjoyed this set, he even brought out some vinyl and did a masterful blending of some classic goa stuff I'd never heard and great psy tunes, the energy was really picking up here and everyone was movin it.

and then...our special guest paradigm
woah...I wasn't quite prepared for this, I listened to the preview mix of his online and it was great, but this set was unbelievable!! relentlessly pounding mental non stop energy... he was absolutely going off. You bay area folks should check this guy out if you haven't already, he will definitely set the party off right!

I had to take a short break after paradigm, but got back onto the floor just in time for sunrise. I wouldnt' want to follow paradigm but nick synergy handled the task easily.

Nick's name serves him well, because it was all about synergy, everything was just flowing perfect with the sun coming up and grins all around, he definitely kept it going well into the morning with some amazing sunrise vibes.

and then we come full circle back to Dionysos Pan Eros, with a perfect morning float back into the cosmos chill set. Nice psychedelia dripping tunes and good dubby vibes greeted us on our return to this timeline.

The crowd was very cool, I think I even spotted a few bellydancers on the floor Even the "token drunk guy" was manageable. I love these small events where you can get the chance to meet almost everyone and really get an intimate feel for what it's all about...

I think we had 40-50 people show up overall. and they were showing up all night and even into the morning. We even had a few of our amigos from down mexico way roll in around 4 am for a few hours...

The location was stunning, you could see peak after peak from where we were on top of our mountain, nothing but desert in every direction. The moon and sun were up simultaneously, at one point both being a few inches above the horizon like a complementary image of the other. I saw the biggest moth ever, and also a couple of 'walking stick' insects were mating on the bass cabinet. good vibes... heh heh

so thanks to all who joined us, and shouts to everyone who couldn't make it for this one. Extra big grins to all the DJ's and especially Tim Cat and karmavsdogma for putting these things together.

Hope to see you all at headspace before the next gathering.
good vibes,

Well, I had really hoped to have a higher turnout, but no bother. This was still a great party, and I want to give a huge thanks to everyone who made it out to this one. Sorry we got started so late, logistics issues. Anyway, the setup looked great and the location was sublime. The music, ah, the music. When you reach that point in the night when you know you're going to collapse, and then the energy in the music infects your system and you keep moving for a few more hours. That's the type of energy that was generated by these Audio Navigators at this event. Dionysos Pan Eros got everything started with drippy psychedelia that evolved into a funky beat that got the whole thing moving. Hahn stepped in and annihilated the trance floor with his signature psychedelic brain-gasm of beats. Next, Avalon threw down the old, old, incredibly old school Goa and kept us all moving and grooving into the darkest hours of the night. And just when you thought it couldn't get any better, Paradigm ripped it up big time. You Bay area folks are lucky to have such a talented and eclectic mix-meister in your midst. It was about this time that I got my fourth (or fifth) wind and hit the dance floor again hard. It just couldn't be helped; this guy will get you off your ass and get you moving. Once again, my feet are angry at Paradigm, and that's a good thing. Nick Synergy came in just before sunrise, and blended his musical montage to fit the set and setting just perfectly. Just feeling the energy in the music while watching the world come alive from on top of a mountain is a great feeling. When it's one of your oldest and best friends providing the soundtrack and putting smiles on faces all around, it's even better. As the sun made it's way up the sky, Dionysos Pan Eros came back to bring us all back down to earth a bit before the long drive back home. Attendance was low, but considering all the other massive parties in AZ and on the West Coast this last weekend, that's not too surprising. These small parties do provide an opportunity to meet and get to know pretty much everyone who attends, which is nice. Big thanks to everyone who came out. We hope to see you all next time.           "Every generation needs a new revolution." ~Thomas Jefferson

It was a nice weekend, and its always good knowing that when you leave a place, you inflicted some damage on someones feet or appendages.....

I would like to thank everyone for the kind words and for attending this gathering with us. All in all, I deemed it very worthwhile and a nice closure to the Phoenix outdoor party season.

Special thanks to Paradigm for bringing the noise! San Francisco is truly fortunate to have talent such as he.

I regret that I didn't get to meet everyone, but am glad that this event was enjoyed by those who attended.

Until next time!
