Remember, these are the same guys that announced a massive in PV with Pixel and other acts that never showed. And then they squatted on a smaller party nearby that wasn't even competing with them just so they could fuck the promoters and get away with fucking the landowners out of use fees, entrance fees and concessions. And they totally trashed the area.
These are the same guys that have crashed other ligitmate parties just so they could have an "exclusive" on parties in Mexico.
These are the guys that are giving Mexico a bad name in the trance world.
I wouldn't trust a word they said.

i dont know about all this.... from what i have heard massive trance is not only one of the most ditinguished, most professional, and leading psytrance collective in mexico, but giving as well... i ve talked with chipe and know others involved.. maldek who does visuals for them for a long time... and have heard nothing but good things... so... maybe i am not there, but maybe you should check out the parties in gdl first and get all the facts before blasting a known group that helps the scene grow... |

Yes, you must be a friend of theirs because their reputation for fucking everyone is well known in Mexico. I do have the facts as well because I have been a victim of their tactics as well as many of my friends.
By defending these guys, you just put your own integrity at stake.

...and yes, I have checked out the parties in GDL and know many people in the scene there. Yes, they have thrown many parties but always at the expense of other people - icluding DJ's and artists, landowners, and other promoters. Worse of all is they go out of their way to make sure other organizations are unsuccessful with their events.

Im shocked reading stuff in forums @ www.proyectogdl.com about negligence from Massive Trance on which unfortunately 2 persons died?? come on and they still doing parties??? where were the paramedics when it happend??? i mean massive trance parties in GDL are at least 3000-5000 peoples, they should have had an ambulance there??? you know what i mean?. as long as the corruption exist in Mexico nothing will change....
here's the last forum I read about how horrible the new years party turned out. they are just the opinions from people from GDL.

yes, i heard of the one death in 04, GMS party... my friends were there and saw it... how is a promoter supposed to be resonsible for people who get too fucked up and go swimming in a lagoon or river and drown??? or over dose or whatever?? do you know how many parties in states i ve been to where there is a 1000 or more people and many people o.d. or die? the fact of the matter is blaming a death on a promoter is wrong being one myself a promoter... whether proper medical support is there or the size of the party anything can happen at any time.... and the event holder shouldnt be held responsible at all for the attendee wanting to take a swim or whatever... we as guests should be responsible for OUR actions OUR choices... party safe and smart so we can continue to spread the love... at least you can have parties like you do down there, as we have to go underground here in the states... or be subject to harsh federal laws and guidelines... being a promoter you look out for the safety of your guests first and foremost, but the actions of the guests on are them... the persons doing all the work putting the party together, performing, organizing, working, cleaning up(and how much waste do we create at parties??)we the guests are responsible for our behavior and conduct... and from personal experience, sometimes the artists back out and not come, go to another party... because its better money, or party because its a business as well as a social communal gathering.. getting top name acts like massive trance does is alot of work, alot of effort for any group and like any business you want to be the best... parties are fun, community, good times, but its also a business...
parties that size you have many people, that are there just to get fucked up, there for the drugs, getting high, and well.... shit happenes... sorry to rant, but there are lots of other factors you have to consider... and that is the people that put incredible hard work into making the party for you to attend....

Ziggty, your point is well taken - promoters can't be held 100% reponsible for irresponsible partygoers. But the fact still remains that Chipe and his gang have a very well known reputation - one that goes back atleast 7-10 years - of cheating everyone he can. Do you read spanish? Read the forums on proyectogdl and you will find Chipe's reputation clearly stated in many threads.

well,
hahaha, i guess, i am the one who doesnt know... for one i dont know spanish... and i just know from hearing from the few friends i know that worked for, or attended the parties... so, i apologize for not knowing... like i said, maybe its because i am not there to see in person... so... not paying artists, screwing over people is clearly wrong... and i m not defending that by anymeans... so i admit... i should check more into the facts before posting ....
anyways... hopefully enough people will come together and turn things around...
