I was watching the dvd of the Manu Chao Babylonia en Guagua today. first of all, i'd like to say if you like manu chao, you should get the dvd. It has a live performance and also some additional interviews, along with some footage of the crew in anti-globalization protests.
I think Manu and his band Radio Bemba Sound System has an incredible live performance. I was one of the lucky people who had the chance to see them live in 2002. the band has amazing charecter. all the people in the band gives you a very happy feeling when you watch them. I guess manu with the band will not release another album, but i'm waiting to see what manu will do next. all the stuff he has released is really good.

Hey nice to see people interested in manu..it`s a good friend I`m allways trying to convince him to come to a trance party but...I`m not very succesful by the moment
My fake plants died, because I did not pretend to water them. |

I have all his albums plus some old Mano Negra stuff.
I love the total meltdown of styles and languages, I love the lyrics, I love the atmosphere, and I love his voice.
Excellent stuff to chill and groove with!

I want that old Mano Negra stuff! 
He threw a great live concert in Thessaloniki, letting all ppl enter in the end (the ones that didn't afford the ticket for that matter)
I also remember going to Samothraki by train and singing Manu Chao with some Spanish guys all the way to Alexandroupolis! Almost convinced these guys to come to Sola Luna Festival in 2001...
Couldn't you wear a skirt and try to convince him too, Justin Chaos?
There's also tequila sex and marijuana to trance parties, if music isn't his gig!!!

we just had a big concert with manu chao and gilberto gil in the ibirapuera park in sao paulo...
he has some fine music...

Everyone I know that travelled in South America keeps on playing his albums to me - and while not exactly my cup of tea, he is one brilliant musician, and not as full of himself as many artists on that scale of success.
