Just a couple of questions for those currently in Manali or those who regularly go during June/July...
1. How long does the taxi from Chandigarh to Manali take and approximately how much does it cost?
2. Any info regarding parties in Manali? Or any particular restaurants/cafe's that we should visit to find out about parties (or that have great food)?
There's 3 of us flying from Bombay - Chandigarh next week for a month long mountain adventure! I can't wait! |

maybe its better if you fly from bombay to bhuntar
it will make it more simple
and it dont cost much more then bombay - chandigar |

Actually, it does cost quite a bit more... A one way ticket to Chandigarh is about 7 grand and a one way ticket to Bhuntar from Bombay is about 13 grand.. its almost double.. Also, the plane that flies you into Bhuntar is a super dodgy, small, propeller plane.... |

chandigarh to kasol is somewhere around 2.8-3k.
We paid 3.5k from ambala...
we took around 9hours to reach kasol from ambala with 2-3 stops on the way. Its a really good drive though, very scenic.
Ambala to chandigarh is around 40mins to 1 hour driving time...

delhi interstate terminus........
2x2 deluxe to manali......... 250 - 270
really harrowing drive whilst you reach atop but try and take the rooftop of the bus, i once you reach Bhunter.......
its a killer climb. VERTIGO all the way..
ONCE you reach manali depot then kabalah!
