Hi Folks,

I am 29, have been listening to trance since 1990 and I listen to several trance genres (acid, goa, prog, epic...). I have been trying to find some full on goa but have had a hard time lately so I wanted to see if someone could make some recommendations. I am looking for stuff thats either melodic or full-on explosive. My tastes are rooted in the old school stuff (which is no longer available) hence I would appreciate your help.

Stuff I love(d) are artists like: Pleiadians IFO, Dimension 5, Astral Projection, Transwave, Deedrah, old X-Dream, Hallucinogen and so forth.

Stuff I just can't dig is the more minial material. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated (especially if I can still purchase it from places like saikosounds.com - kick arse store).

Thanks,
Filip

Definitely Chi-AD, they are still doing the melodic thing, and very very well.

I'll tell you one obscure release every old school fan should track down: Poly 61 - Hirabo Invaders EP (on Thirteen Prod.)... I have a few spares if anyone is intrigued. Three tracks of the nicest and most genuine eastern-influenced Goa that I've heard in years, and no one seems to know about it.

Actually I know the name Poly 61 (btw named after the cool synthesizer Korg Poly 61) and have recalled listening to one of their tracks before (maybe I have it on DAT???). But LOL it's one of those I dont remember so good

try the old distance to goa compilations - also anything old by space tribe is gut. Quirk, Green nuns of the revolution, Goahead compilation were all those that I have and listen to even now. Try some the old shiva space technolgy stuff too - very good stuff.
