woodster check this, mmg caractere seems really unic to me..maybe it was driven hard there..
a bit plastic but there is something organic and really dry in the sound..i like that..

Sounds awesome. After discussing with the modular store I'm buying from, I'm now canceling my foundation purchase. Instead I'm putting together a cheaper system to start up, and then looking at putting a complete Make Noise system for about $4000 together as the second stage.

huge range ...has its faults as well

something in the sound is so dry..into fxs it probably sound amazing cause of that really dry sound it have..was thinking how it would sound in the mf104 while listening ..
i read some discussion in french forums, these say the filter is really great..but the lpg is not as good as some other options like optomix, i dont remember why..i think they mentioned less clean and detailed but not sure

the strike input can take an env as well, and doesnt only react to an 8v gate but all the way up, almost like vel sensitive if
its like 3 or 4 different filters in a box, so it has faults but far more strenghts, itll make absolutely next level bass patches
but yeah almost like an analog version of the Virus state variable from last year
theres certain settings on the resonance i hate but its a small margin between the two sweet spots and you can easily work around it
but it really sounds nice as a plucked lpg, not as long as the optomix which is really pretty sounding and smooth
also i think people havnt twigged that with it being a vactrol filter you have to go into it a bit hotter than a normal one,

hes also using a strymon reverb and a eventide space, but the phonegene and the echophone are the stars there

guys what are vactrol exactely? the dpo have some if i m not mistaken? and lpgs too?

ok....a vactrol is a light senser with an led attached housed in a sealed unit
the vactrol can be used to smooth cvs due to the way the led lights up quickly and has a slow decay,giving a sort of PING affect when struck with a gate
if yo think about a camera flash in your eye, fast attack, bang (hit the peek) then a tail off
i love vactrols......lol
LPG is a low pass gate designed by don buchla , effecvtively a VCFA.. voltage controlled filter amp
as the volume drops the filter closes , very usefull for bongos or soft percussive sounds
Aalto has one just after the oscillator mix
