New Vrindaban, North America's largest Hare Krishna community, near Moundsville, WV.
Everyone is welcome to come to New Vrindaban early or stay late.
You can:
-take a tour of Prabhupada's Palace of Gold.
-visit the temple and see the Darshan (deities).
-visit the Goshalla and learn how to milk a cow.
-browse Krishna's Attic (a transcendental thrift store) or Vrindavan-Dham Gifts.
-buy organic food at Hanuman's Health Foods.

Food:
Vegetarian Indian meals are available at Govinda's Snacks and the temple. Please make a suitable donation.
Groceries are available at Hanuman's Health Foods.
Stay until Sunday afternoon and join the feast!
Rules:
Please respect the community's rules when you are in the temple/lodge area:
-No Meat Eating: If you bring your own food, please do not bring meat.
-No Intoxication: Please do not smoke in the temple area. Alcohol and contraband are prohibited.
-No Illicit Sexual Relations.
-No Gambling.
Camping/Lodging:
Camping is available in the spacious field surrounding the event location. No potable water or bathrooms are available.
Ashram lodging with modern bathroom and shower facilities may be available on location at an additional fee.
Admission:
$25 Camping Fee (payable at the Guest Lodge) is required by everyone attending to pay for the land usage.
In addition, a suggested $20 Event Fee (payable at event location)
is being requested to defray the production costs (equipment rental, fuel, and artist fees).

i was going to suggest this party to someone... just wanted to know if this is going to be good, as i can't recognise any of these names.
is this a full-on scene or not?

no, i don't think that it is going to be good.. i think that this party is going to be f_ing awesome!!!
granted, it isn't going to be as big of a production as the gaian-mind summer festival, but many of the people that played there will be playing at this event as well.
all of the people that are playing are pretty active in the east-coast psytrance scene. if you don't recognize the names it is probably because these guys are from cities other than new york.. so they don't get booked as often for heavily promoted nyc events. they are however, pretty well known in their respective scences (philly, pittsburg, baltimore, asheville, etc..).
the emphasis for this party is not on big names though... it is on celebrating as a family and enjoying some wicked tunes together, and keeping things down to earth. this is how they are going to be able to keep the costs low for the attendees ($25 land use fee + $20 donation = $45 for 3 days and 2 nights of communal psytrance in a beautiful location).

so ehm, what about this party huh, worth to go? I dunno, it would be the first u.s. party i' m going to and eh well yeah, milking cows and all, hmmm am not really in for that,...but how' s the music, can any one give me any info on the djs?

to the best of my knowledge, this event is planned for rain-or-shine. if there is any deviation from this, i will be sure to post it in here as soon as i hear about it.
music-wise, i think that you can probably expect to hear a little bit of everything. i am not going to say that it is a purely full-on or a purely prog or tech party, because i don't think that it is fair to categorize everything and everyone into tidy little boxes. i think that it would probably be better to say that you will probably hear nighttime music at night, and daytime music during the day. honestly, i have not had a chance to hear every single one of the performers play live yet, so i cannot say much about those particular people. as far as the people i do know (kri, BSM, allen, etc..), you can expect some dark twisted headfuck.
and as far as milking cows goes, it isn't mandatory... but if you would like to squeeze some cow boobies, the option is always there for you. MOOO!
there are cows there because this is a hare krshna community, and they were gracioius enough to allow the use of their land for the event. if you haven't already taken a look at the place you should check it out, there are plenty of pics here...

I think it's pretty full-on indeed. I heard Blue Spectral Monkey a couple of months ago, and he plays fresh twisted full-on tunes. Excellent stuff. Onnomon's live sets are out of this world. He has a unique sound, and tends to start a bit slower, and work the trancers into his music. Once there, though, it's a trip to behold. He blew my mind pretty good at Burningman.
