If you look up on wiki, the best episodes are always written by the creators Damon Lindelof & Carlton Cuse..This season they are writing the first episode, the last episode and tomarrows...it should kick serious ass about Desmond.           http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brain_in_a_vat

You were absolutely right. That episode was perfect and there's a lot that REALLY makes sense now. I had a feeling it was building up to something like this and this season had me worried that the whole series was about to sell out. But I was wrong, it seems!

Nice call!

I was starting to get worried too that it would end up like the matrix as a huge let down.
Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse have always said they had the ending in mind since it started, so even if the next few episodes are a let down to some degree I'm totally confident now the final episode is going to be a real great mind fuck.           http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brain_in_a_vat

I have the feeling I know how this is going to end up... right back at the beginning. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see that one of the last few scenes in the last episode will be something along the lines of a close up of Jack's eye as he first wakes up on the island.

I have this suspicion because of a book series by Stephen King called "The Dark Tower"... if you've read it, you know what I'm getting at. These two directors are also known fans of this series, and it's evident in LOST... for example, remember that guy whose balloon crashed on the island in season two, whose identity Ben had assumed as he was held prisoner in the hatch? The logo on the side of the ballon was for "Nozz-A-La Cola" which is a blatant Dark Tower cookie. What we are seeing in LOST now was also a big part of that series in that events happening now are more or less non-linear... now by season 6 we are seeing things happen in cycles which is exactly the flow of the "Dark Tower" timeline.

There are even rumors of these two directors making a "Dark Tower" movie, and if it's true, I have total faith that it will A.) do the magnitude of that book series justice and B.) quite possibly be the first (okay, maybe the second) King movie that actually turned out to be good.

The Dark Tower connection is a very well known thing, but JJ and co are not making a Dark Tower movie or a TV series adaptation at the moment...           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

You mean other than The Shawshank Redemption, Stand By Me or The Shining? Wait, you are probably thinking of one of the others, as these movies are not just good, they are classics.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

Good point... I was alluding to The Shawshank Redemption earlier, but I had forgotten about Stand By Me... personally I thought "The Shining" was boring even though you are right, it is a classic.

well, since it was a hugo episode, i expected a lot more. During season 2, the hugo episode named "dave" was the best lost has ever produced- psychedelic twisted acid trip. This one was just as boring as most of this season episodes. Nothing happen, they just sit back and wait. WTF

lost usual intensity have gone to the toilet.. will the rest of this season will remain the usual melodrama?

No way...these guys are too well read and clever to do something that lame...
I'm fully confident that after the 2 hour final there will be nothing to say but "wow"...I don't think Lindelof and Cuse are the writers until that episode.
Just like the Hugo episode, its just going to build to the final now.
