called Ranger Records...

Together with W.F.C. Records - Brazil we are working on setting up a distribution allover South-America, for details you can contact me on Shawnodese23@mindfunk-records.com (also MSN) or PM me here !
About Range Records, they are good friends and do their best to sell psytrance, but not with much luck so far. I sold them a good 30-35 cd's (Inpsyde Media/Fungi/Spun/Mind Funk Records) on my last visit in may/june before moving here permanently and they still got most in store, hardly anything got sold. Unfortunately there is to much of a download culture here like I'm sure mr. Nostrom-us knows. So far personal sales and promoting sales on parties is the only thing that really works here and even that doesn't go easy.....but we're not giving up with those facts for now and feel free to contact me to try and sell 'm personally for you here or hopefully through a distribution and shop we're trying to set up here with some people, and I can also hook u up with the W.F.C. crew in Brazil for exclusive distribution over there !!! So much for now...and greetings to my buddy Jeto on behalf of Mind Funk crew and me !

Until some serious acts come repetidly here (artists, not djs) it'll be meaningless to speak about distribution. also if smbd want to buy a cd from internet it will cost like 30$ or even more due to all deliver taxes so nobody wants to buy. cds here must be selled as special and preferencial offers. otherwise there is no chance to sell even 5 cds. mr. shadownese told u. for more than 5-6 months just a few mind-funk cd were sold... in a store. and its the same with the majority. But there is a chance if a real promoter is involucrated and he can go to parties and try to present the product. I'm speaking just for Venezuela. I think in Colombia is the same situation.. cannot speak 4 other countries as i dont know. |

Yes... but in this case was only in one store "Range Records" that is focus on techno and house "Records" most of all... even more than cds in fact ´cause there is still some cds from Inpsyde Media and Spun Rec also... In the past we distributed more CDs in others big shoping center stores here in caracas and all sold...
one shop is not a distributor my friend

He Dr. Nostrom-us....don't take a joke 2 serious...it's supposed to make ya smile and wasn't meant as an insult so hope u can c that someday without taking it to personal. As far as I know one doesn't need to require to be a "serious act" or anything at all to be able to do distribution, all one needs to do is to be human, android, alien or whatever else and get one's ass moving, which is what we're doing here. Next to that all the cd's I brought last time I brought without paying any taxes at all and they're all for sale in Range Records for cheap prices compared to most imported stuff, so your point in this case is not taken m8. The reason why cd's don't sell her YET, is because the scene is to small for good sales right now and that those who are active in this scene are mostly downloading music through Soul Seek, FTP's and other such media. Next to that there is no constant and constructive publicity and promotion machine working on campaigns to promote and sell this music but that's something that should slowly change in the future when all goes well...stay tuned for that !
For the rest for your information, there is a special treaty that all Latin-American countries have amongst eachother. Any product from outside of Latin-America is taxed heavily up to 60% or sometimes even more so ur point of cd's being 2 expensive for sale goes up ONLY in case it's imported to every single country seperate with such high import-taxes.....BUT.....once it's imported in just 1 of the countries in Latin-America t(the country with the cheapest import-taxes would be the smartest I assume ), it's free or almost free (depending on the country) of taxes to move and ship it from there to the other Latin-American countries. This way it's absolutely possible to set up a network of distribution allover Latin-America and make cd's affordable to an audience.....I hope this information will erase all doubts from your side and make you realize that me and my crew are respected and established names to be reckoned in the future with unlike you like to think amigos. MMHHH.. ist the same case...we dont Know a specific shop of psy trance (just alternive music like Esperanto shop or Merengue/salsa/80s/etc pop shop..music) in CCS...
U have the reason ist true...Ranger Records is a mix of ELECTRONIC MUSIC....(Psy trance is a elecronic music and is part of this)
i was put the link because that shop is
FORMAL SHOP ( home page complete !!...with ARTIST from our scene...and Good Infrastructure...the home page are the pics of that place....) Remember (Kagdila asked 4 serius ppl)

yeah whatever dr. Gosse. my opinion was in general so if You'll take it or not, it's your choice.
anyway. in europe there is big selling market cuz there is A Scene (14-15 years?). the scene is made first of all from artists, i mean acts that MAKE own music (cuz djs there are like mushrooms after rain). when we have this here, the market will grow itself. u know that it is simple as that. but i'm so glad everytime when i'm reading You Dr. Gosse. I love the subliminal tension in all your posts! but keep working on growing our small scene. I see You have a lot international support so no worries...
and an unsignifican advise from your "old" friend:
where there is comercial music there will be the underground too. and the underground doesent sells too much... |

the good thing about doing a national compilation was that we made the first step in creating a psytrance buying market in argentina. as most of the people who belong to the scene know the artists, most of them decided to start buying to support the scene.
we also traded copies of our cd with other labels, and this also worked out pretty good. for example we traded 50 copies of Amalgama with Inpsyde media, and we sold all their cds over here. much more than what we expected  .
so well contact me and we can talk about this

I like so much your twisty interpretations. they makes me laugh a lot every morning with my sweet coffee (cool.. free comedy channel ). but let me tell u smthing, its just the different point of view dude, its the position from where we are looking the things, another perspective m8. for you it's a mud, for me it is a whole galaxy of real love and friendship dude. This is real underground. where the money stay in second plan. And where the colaborations and this wishes to be part of some small real scene are much Higher then lucrative wishes...
