any good tips on creating a good kick with ultrabeat or any other logic samplers?
Just got this program and trying to figure it out.

it doesnt really matter what software you use, the rules are pretty much the same. however, regarding Ultrabeat, try using some of there preset kits as starters. reason being, the oscillators are set up a little differently than your standard kick drum synth / analog synth and the results you get vary. for trance kicks I didn't find Ultrabeat to be very useful though...           Gamma Riders EP out now on iTunes and Amazon.com!

One neat trick for using .wav's/sampled kicks.In ultrabeat theres a little square 'sampler' box.just drag ur sample from your library into that, right click on whatever instument u've selected in ultrrabeat, goto init - sample. then u can use that sample in ultrabeat and it works really well.

be careful with ultrabeat when using it for kicks...I read at sonik that it always starts at the first zero crossing, which means if your sample doesnt start at a zero crossing, ultrabeat will cut some transients off           https://soundcloud.com/hazak
