Guess this has been a phenomenon beyond the psytrance scene, DJs & producers starting bands to expand the the musical experience they provide. Looking for those that really shine ...

Can think of a few but shall start with these...

Really hope to catch a Vlastur live show soon

+1 to Highlight Tribe, one of the first to do it, and Greg as the guy up front is a proper tribal rockstar.

Another one on the same vein is Ganga Giri and his band... awesome experience to watch live...

A personal favourite is Makyo, ancient eastern magic for the senses...

I really adore Digital Samsara !

These guys are actively involved in experiments in music, multimedia art, filmmaking & event production. Musically speaking, you can find fully acoustic ethno, electroacoustic ambient, plus some exotic & moody space moments

also they released 1 full psychedelic trance album.

Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead...

Of course! If I'm not mistaken both bands started doing the full band thing way down the roads in their career. There's also Ott & The All-Seeing I live show.

OOOD has a fair bit of live instrumental performance in our sets. Live keyboards, guitar, percussion, SFX. We've been doing it that way since about 2002. Before then, we used to take the entire studio on stage every time and play live off Cubase.

Wanted to find a vid of Juno Reactor from mid 90's, i'm thinking live drums, live guitars....plus the extra performers/artists in this vid which is the closest to what i remember...
