djs mostly mix between tracks in parties. their job is to make 10-20 (or more...) tracks to be play without a stop between them...
they dont have too much space to make something really live like the artists do, but im so sure that this is possible....hard but the genious djs of the world can do that. do you think anyone will try that one? have anyone did it before?
both DJ + Live show will be awesome. i read the thread here about DJ Set\Live and that can make something new and both sides will agree on that one...

I think that with two CD-J a dj can do lots of things and play really good... But with three CD-J a dj can use one of them with a cd with only samples and noises that he can play at the right time to make a really original set. I'm sure some djs already do that and more...

alot of dj's use more than two inputs for audio. three cdjs. three TT. one cdj two TT. two cdjs one TT.
also some dj's use midi equipment while a set for put some effects and noises. its all already exist. and for a while.           Believe your soul !

some DJ's i've heard don't need to put some "live" features into their set. the music, seamlessly blended and perfectly mixed, was, on certain events, better than a live act. some DJ's can actually "play" with the music they spin (a perfect example for that is synchro's set in that moksha party up north - now there's a one man show!)           "We Do Not Allways See Things As They Are. With a few acts I've really liked that work with drum machines (Rebirth - 303, 808, 909) can give a consistent kick and using MIDI/SMPTE you can control the tempo to what you are playing .. it is a way to assist in the transition of tracks where the kick noticably changes ..
Another really clubby track I've heard is a Star Wars theme RMX .. tried to think how you would make the sounds in it .. by getting the original orchestral vinyl album and feeding it off via Aux through something that gave it an electric buzz like a Lexicon Reverse Reverb or Revalver then through tremlo effect with a beat synced (MIDI) and I think it is key chase (?) over the whole submix.. mixed the 2 back in together. FX as the main theme with the original strings poking through .. the rest of the album had similar effects and didn't do anything for me.. but this caught my attenton for FX Sends when I have had a chance to look at an artists live setup..

every reasnable mixing table that shows u the BPM can give a MIDI clock output to any external module, u may connect anything - a synth, drum machine or efect machine and add any number of channels that u want to a commercial CD or un released playback track.
i don't c a big trick in it.
i met one known israeli DJ/producer that actualy do this and called it "LIVE HAWA" (so it's not my defenition, but i totaly agree)

That's what I'm going to try to do in my school.
We have a little trance party, so I'll bring my comp over.
Running cubase while some someone else mix with decks.
We'll probably not make it work good, but what the heck

I'm all in favour 0f DJ's trying to be creative with samplers or effects of stuff like that. i think it adds to the set's crative factor.           Kinetic Honda GmbH, Worldwide Supliers of Quality noise.
