Hell yes, CRX. I was raised on early Sabbath and disco in the 70s and that's the reason why I love psytrance today. It combines both!

Jimi hendrix , led zep , black sabbath , the who , Pink floyd , beatles ("yellow submarine" video if anybody seen it ) cream , jefferson airplane , joni mitchell and the list can go on most of the bands of 60s were all psy
also miles davis > panthalasa amazing work all psychedelic ........... the monk and so many
well LSD was discovered around the same time  respect to the fact .
