Lots of my friends listen to Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, and they are in their way very psy. ( my friends and the groups)
How do people on this forum feel about these groups.

i thinnk led zeppelin is the underground psychedelic comparing to pin floyd.
I almost listen to it when I want to hear psychedelic music stead of psycheelic track. Never met anyone who listen to it in the psyscene... |

Led Zeppelin is second only to the beatles with the amount of albums sold, not really underground eh? good band all the same though |

Led Zeppelin grew out of The Yardbirds. Pink Floyd on the other hand, were one of the prime movers of the nascent psychedelic scene in London in 1966-67, along with Soft Machine, Tomorrow and The Crazy World of Arthur Brown

i looooooooooove Led Zep.
have u heard the immigrants song.
its based on a train journey...
it actually sounds like it.
the beats are that of a moving train and the way they scream at the biginning and the end of the song sounds like the whistle of the train.
they are too good.

eh, I have to say that tinny guitar sound of led zep always turned me off. I always prefered the low minor wicked blues of old Sabbath. |

A lot of people here grow up with Rock music and culture and me also.
About these bands now.
Zeppelin play authentic hard rock and was a very good band.
About Pink Floyd.. Respect.
One of the most psychedelic rock bands ever been.
But my favorite psy rock band is Eloy...
Masters of rock psy...

Because they sold albums doesn't make them "non underground".....Maybe their loyal followers continue to buy again and again...Led Zeppelin has never been mainstream...Most mainstream people at the time couldn't stand Zeppelin...Only the underground, rock fanatics (stoners) liked them......
In regard to the thread...Zeppelin and Floyd are very psychedelic groups...Both broke boundaries and created new/fresh mind bending sounds. I love them both very much.

I don't really like both, though some of Pink Floyd's songs do have something about them. But it maybe vaguely connected to psytrance, although I wouldn't go as far as to say they were inspiration for psytrance artists.
