Usually neither. In fact the only 2 labels that i can think about that have their unique sound is Twisted and Chemical Crew.
For better and worse.          Everyone in the world is doing something without me

I have heard a rumour saying that in the CC contracts its says you have to keep a certain strucure in your tracks, like breaks at certain moments, etc...
Anyone know about this ? If its true i can now see why all CC tracks sounds the same.

Well, u've might got a point in these words.
But, i guess skazi himself or b-bass can share the best their ideology with us.
Interested?

It's not an ideology. It's a fetish.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

Well there is some point in your words, IMO. psychotic micro have their own style indeed (though it's greatly influenced by chemical crew's line). This can happen when certain artist disagree and not transmit one wave with his chief's demands.
As for the artist you mentioned, well, i guess you've listened to the last release by chemical crew 'mafia', did you manage to recognize each track whose its creators? i don't think you did, since the simple cause that every track sounds like its previous. Maybe if you would hear the tracks as lonelies, you would be able to get a clue about.

How about a label that has in mind to promote a certain sound and tries to define this sound by signing artists that fit the labels plans and ideas?

I mean when this takes place the label doesnt define the artists sound but neither the artists define the label sound, its more like a vice versa situation.

When i started Exposure Productions i had a certain sound in my mind that i personally liked and wanted to promote to the people,a sound that would be somewhere between psychedelic and progressive trance, dancefloor material but home listening friendly at the same time,a style of music full of hypnotic melodies and deep atmospheres.

I didnt asked from artists to create this kind of music but i scouted the scene and spotted artists that already work on this kind of music, thats how and why i signed tracks in my label by people like Wizzy Noise,Silicon Sound,Jaia,Protoculture,Orion,Deedrah and many more that i think match the style of music i wish to promote.

So the label from the beggining had a music profile but this wasnt defined by its roster neither the label 'forced' the artists to follow this music profile.

The pieces were out there and when the people started to communicate with each other they started to fill in the missing pieces of the puzzle           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

from my point point of view(buyer/listener)the labels that have a vision are counted by the fingers of one hand(hmm...).hommega,xposure,nano,cc,doof and devils mind.all the others are releasing whatever wherever and thats the main problem with the scene not the mp3s.what's your criteria of picking up tracks mr label manager?the current trend, your faith to your cause or your ego?waiting for answers....           Helicon Sounds Music
