then come to montreal then...

it's up to you... I don't know the LA scene...

there's definately more people there... so my guess is that the scene is bigger... they have more artists and they probably have more poduction teams...

I'm from montreal and I'm very happy with the amount of parties here... just this month, we had Sirious Isness, last night we had one of the Amazon nights wich are wicked cool, oin the 23, we'Re getting 3.turn and the weewk after... GMS at Aria and the night right after, Midimiliz DJset and Metalogic live... may's shaping up to be pretty good too with Son Kite on the 14th...

so... flip a quarter if you want... I don't think you should choose your education based on a party scene.. but that's your thing and I'm in no way telling you what to do...

i would decide according to preffered weather, food and people first... this is a close call in my opinion.... although i dont think i can handle montreal's weather in the winter.

I agree!!! I would look at it this way- if its too cold outside, you're not even gonna want to leave your house to go to a trance party...no matter who is playing. ...this is how it would be for me anyways hehe

dood man.. coming from boombay.. the weather here in the north easter part of the us is a motherf*&*er... its a proper pain in the ass.. if its this bad here montreal is going to be even worse... i know from some mates in usc that the scene in la is quite killer, and also from reading the various post on isra. the ny scene is not the best but its better than nothing... most def in the US the west coast scene is where its at...

my rec to u wud be the weather first choice.. its the most impt thing here man.. especially being away from home..

think about it and all tha best to u in tha future...           "Like every great religion of the past we seek to find the divinity within and to express this revelation in a life of glorification and the worship of God. Gadi made a very good point about the weather. Montreal is amazing for many things like the action in the city in the summer, life is extremely cheap, if you are a smoker you can find very good stuff for nothing and it is won't be illegal by the time you would get here. Life is good but it is extremly cold in the winter. We are talking below 20C ... -30 with wind factor.

My wife and some of my friends are also from India and they find it pretty fuckin cold in jan and feb.

LA is cool, been there before but not for parties. Weather is amazing and you have the chance of living not too far from the beach which is somthing all of us canadian are dreaming of in the winter. But then you have to be ok with the fact you will be living in the country of uncle Sam ... with all what it involves.

I live in LA and all of the promoters here put nothing but heart and soul into their parties....Very family-like vibe...I love it.....and the weather is great. San Fran throws many great parties as well and it is only about 6 hours away from LA...

I know Montreal is a great city too. Have never been to Canada personally, but I do know their government gets it right when it comes to how they treat their people...The "Laws" are a little more laxed in my opinion as well....

So, it's your call...To say which one has better parties? I'd bet Montreal puts a lot of heart into what they do also, so the city itself should be the decision maker for you......

assumption is the mother of all fuckups.

well, i live in the northern most part of the state in cali (humboldt county) and i will say the smoke is better here then any place in the world... as for psytrance scenes... L.A. with green sector and psytribe do some amazing parties and bring some of the top live and dj acts in the world... bohdi and the san diego crews have amazing desert parties just two hours or so south... then s.f. the birth place of trance in the usa, has a plethora of talent and music to go around just a few hours north..

with the up coming UNIFIED VISIONS party, i am looking forward with lots of different collaborations from across the state.. plus also the weather in so cal is just amazing, beautiful beaches, people, and well... i guess really the only bummer would be the traffic... but living 12 hours away, i wouldnt hesitate to drive down for a party down there... my vote goes for L.A.

my two cents

Am I the only one that finds the Montreal vs LA comparison a bit funny? Like apples and oranges. I`ve never been to LA, although I`d love to soak up some sun on its beaches. But, I did live in Montreal for 6 yrs and miss it like crazy! Great people, food, good public transpo, high quality and cheap "smoke", bit of a cultural melting pot. And sooo cheap!! Especially compared to Japan(where I`ve been living for almost 2yrs). And if you survive the Canadian winter, you`ll get to experience the beautiful Quebec summer. That`s if...
