Great audiovisual experience indeed.

The music was good.

The crowd was very good.

The place was great.

The visuals and Kraftwerk perfomance were amazing, that part with the robots performing live on stage was a one time experience indeed.

It was a very pleasant night and most important of all something different from the usual events that take place in Athens.

I mean ok you will see Tiesto and Sasha 100 times in Athens, you shall see Iron Maiden once a year, same with Moby and other pop artists BUT when will the Greek crowd ever have the chance to see Kraftwerk again?

Probably never since the guys are preety old for world tours plus the attendance in both Athens and Thesaloniki was below expectations at least from my point of view.I mean maximum 1500 people for such an event is UNNACEPTABLE and shows that the greek people have one of the lowest music knowledge levels in Europe and they prefer going to mpouzoukia or seeing John Digweed and Tiesto for the 5th time this year in Greece rather than go and see how electronic music started and evolved.

Once again we proved that our music education as a country is just zero.

A big thanks to the organisers and to Krawerk for this night and hope that the future generations will spend some more time on discovering music rather than settling with what tv and the radio stations tell them to listen.

Music Non Stop............

i say thats great, it is a life time experience, something i misted due to my work obligations, but i wonestly think that they are realy great a big respect to the world, but the 1 person i would kill to see live is jan michele zar playing live , but as you said , sepose jan came to Athens i say 6000 max to go and see him ,in other countries , the people that would go would look like flyies from a distance , but when car cox comes 3000 go to venue , its because car cox invented the first african boobie extacy dance , and jar ,ask greeks they will say he invented tavli,

Kraftwerk is not trance. Kraftwerk is not trance. Wakeywakey...I dunno why it got here in the first place. For the record though, I think that kraftwerk is to be listened to at home. Their music is not that suitable for a night out. As for the audiovisual part, go and watch Batman, it would cost less Don't get me wrong, i like them more than you think. I love them actually and I can share hours of chatting about their tunes. Shit, i've got all their records man. But, it's a NO for a 40e live during summer. And one more thing...(i'm getting warmed up)...don't start this "greeks with no musical education" theme again. Greeks know about music well. And good music also. It's just that they are so few....and they don't give a shit...What if Jean Michelle Jarre came along ? Or maybe Vangelis ?

Other Reality we are talking about the majority of Greek people that have no music education and knowledge.

Ofcourse there are some people that know whats going on but if 5000 out of 12.000.000 have a music education then something is obviously wrong.

I mean you said that 40euros is a lot for Kraftwerk but the day before 3000 people paid same money to see Carl Cox LOL

This is what i mean when i say that the crowd in our country doesnt have a clue about Electronic Music.

By the way Aphex Twin event is canceled due to low presale tickets, another example of our 'music education'....

P.S Kraftwerk might not be trance they way you put it but the same applies to 60% of the 'trance producers' that release music in our days.           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

First,$40 euro is a lot for anything.. in other countries with this kind of money you go to a 3 day festival and get to see a lot more than just 1 hour of music...
Second, jan micheal was in greece a few years back he played in irodio theatre and my opinion was that it was crap, he has shown no improvement over the last decade, i have seen videos from his gigs in japan or his oxygen gig in the pyramids in egypt, where he played kick ass music (a lot of primitive psychedelic techno then!!), in athens he played for the rich/trendy people crowd (elpida institution event) and was really really bad... Greeks of course applauded all along, but as i looked in their faces i realized these people have no idea who the guy was and what he did in the past, they liked it because they are supposed to, these same people listen to boozoukia my guess is..On the other hand i also saw vangelis even earlier (maybe 10 years back) in irodio as well and the guy was really really great, played trax from 1492(which had just been released) but also from older albums (bladerunner, etc), his light/laser and projection was the best thing i had ever witnessed (the whole history of greece in 2 hours,in pictures was projected in the irodio stones)...
Finally, if anybody checked the warp recs site the last 2-3 weeks would notice that aphex is playing in italy in a weeks time.. if u checked the link for the festival he plays at you'd see that it mentions that the gig in italy 30th of june IS THE FIRST GIG HE WILL PLAY IN 2005.. so my guess is IT WAS NEVER MEANT TO HAPPEN... i kept telling my friends this (we decided not to get tickets presale , rather wait outside and check if he really is playing {also afx is known for not showing up for gigs}) and yesterday i hear from the radiop that it was canceled because not many people got tickets... YEAH RIGHT !!!!! so the organisers called afx and told him "hey dude not so many people got tickets , can u send us back the advance money ??" , hey , i dont believe this no way, they already would have paid for tickets, advance for artists (which in afx's case would be more than 5000 euro), booking the beach volley space, so why not do it and get some money at least, rather than not doing it at all...

Nikos you dont need to pay for tickets in advance, you just make a reservation for them and book them when you need to.

About the beach volley place, well the place has been rented by the organisers for something like 2 months time so they didnt loose any money from that also.

I think these two small details allowed the organisers to cancel this event and loose very very little money rather than making this event and loosing a lot more.

Like i said before 'details' in events organisation are always important           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!
