Hey all!! :-)
Maybe this is kinda off-topic but u all seem so pro so let me ask u this:
Ive got a whole bunch of trax and i get really good feedback from firends but ive got absoluetly no idea how 2 move forward... How and where 2 send my music or who/where do i approach...?
ANY advice will b greatly appriciated!!

If I can just add to Blobb's (Gargamel) request that you add the type of trance (full-on,minimal etc..)you create on top of the name.

2nd gen, before you do anything, back up all mastered tracks and send them to yourself in Registered mail (Doar Rashoom). take the envelope and secure it in a safe place. don't touch it. that way your guarding your copyrights.
lots of Lables recieve Demos. my suggestion is, start with somthing local and than go on to other one's abroad. |

I meen- I mix my music with a (really good) home stereo with flat EQ!!! I dont think it would b wise 4 any1 2 invest in equippment (monitors, hd recorders, etc`) 2 produece a "pro" sounding demo? no?
Where can i uppload my trax 2 on the net? ive seen links that ppl post 2 their own trax..

a demo is just what it means - a demo. i would suggest not uploading music to the net. |

Get phone numbers of dj's or labels and contact them. they allways want to hear new music (u have to sound pro, not some kind of fastracker amature) |

That would be [b]Mike A & Roi S[/b]. :-) Not very original but it works.
About style, whatever sounds good. People say it sounds like nostalgic goa. Other people say that it sounds like dreamy club trance. I just call it minimal-goa-club. :D

main project:
Neuron Compost - weird, dark, funky and fucked-up???
other projects:
PimperKnuckle - weird, funky, 80's disco-trash-trance! (on demon tea recordings) ;)
Oblong - straighter, more 'normal' stuff...
Contra-coup - with psyklops from this forum! - full-on, weird, melodic crazy-ness...
i guess there'll also be something of mine on Gi'iwa's first comp.

although my project is not exactly creating music but rather building a software that will give ppl like dj's or other creators all the back round on trance starting from the first bits till the new realeses. within you could find all the technical info on most of the projects that were done in the last 8-10 years.[color=Purple][/color] |

that's not the point 2nd gen
if you mixing your tracks with a home stereo(even if you got the best) try mixing it in studio with monitors and other shit...
you will see the difference.
but i agree with you that it is not wise to buy these things and to make a studio but i am sure that if you got "spare" money(there is no spare money always but anyway)
you can buy it it will not do bad things to you i am sure |
