Well, it might not have much to do with psytrance, more with trance in general. I find there to be some great classic trance songs out there. I'd like to take this opportunity to check if there are more people out there that like the following tracks:

TLT - Kubik
<great melody in this one>
Want it? It's on the compilation Illusion 6.

Cosmic Baby - Space Track
<absolute classic this one, nice melody too>
Want it? It's on World Of Trance 1 as well as a whole lot of other compils from that time.

Vana Imago - Tesi
<reminds me of Massimo Vivona's work>
Want it? It's on Trancemaster 10.

That are three of the songs that I have in mind right now. More to come (maybe, if there'll be some good replies)

My best old classic is from the album Suntrance - Mind of Goa: Slinky Wizard - Supernatural

And Hallucinogen - LSD (LS Doof Remix) is also on that album......really awesome!           :: Life can be as bitter as dragon tears

depends entirely on how each man perceives the taste ::

Yes Yes Yes!
All this GU mix by Dave Semen is outstanding.
Wanted to mention also that if you look for good nostalgic Trance tunes check for the old Platipus records Catalogue.
Stuff from Art Of Trance, Union Jack, Man With No Name, And offcourse the anthemic Children by Robert Miles

Illuminatae - Tremora Del Terra is also one of the tracks that still gets me every time.

Humate - Love Stimulation (Love Mix) also keeps providing me with that great trancy feeling.

Hands Burn - Good Shot .. I saw someone typing that... Excellent track. The Signum Remix is great too!!

Come on, surely there are more people out here that love those classic trance tracks?? Throw your favourites in the mix here (figuratively ofcourse)
