its kinda sad that not many people preview tracks in this forum...only big names draw people to check the tracks & give previews......don't u all think this is so unfair??? can anything be done about this???? |

i noticed not much reviewing happens either.. but i cant complain about it.. since i havent reviewed anything either. the only thing that can be done about it is for everyone to resolve to review more tracks! my excuse- i'm on a dialup, it takes me several hours to dl each track, even if they are on fast hosting... if they're on slow hosting, i'll probably get cut off half way thru anyway. nonetheless i will try and listen to a few soon

yes i really dont know why this happens, it would be awesome to get my tracks reviewed but i cant force anyone to listen to them, so i really dont know what can be done, starting a campaign to make people commit to reviews wouldnt have any sense...
but anyways i hope more people listen after bringing the subject for discussion

if you review someones tracks,..... someone might just review yours.
Instead of these posts, we could have reviewed something already...

totally agree, but doesn't seem to happen all the time! don't know why?
do ppl don't review becoz
1) they're too lazy to listen to other's stuff!
2) they feel that the track is so bad that it doesn't warrant a review (that's too bad an attitude, i'd say)
3) people have serious problems downloading tracks
i personally would say that ppl who regularly post in this forum should also do some justice to the post of others...unless we all decide to do this by ourselves, this particular forum would just rot away slowly! |

after i read this thread i downloaded 4 different ones, which took a long time - Organic Paradox, Xcite, Clockwise and TintinAsimov.
I think some of these are a waste of time. Honestly guys if you want serious reviews post your best work and like Clockwise if you give us 5 minutes at least of your tracks, it will help us make a judgement.
Xcite's track has nearly 4 fadeouts in his 2 mins (did he give us 40 second clips from various parts of his track - dunno).
Also XCite's voice which says "computer" looks like its has been clipped off the Talamasca Revelation track.
If you guys are serious and some of these guys talk of releasing etc. then please give us some new original stuff and make our time worth it.
After Scraped Sunday, I wouldn't mind spending my time downloading Mind Manip's new tracks.
I shouldn't be reviewing tracks in this thread, but I really think everyone should evaluate their tracks properly first with friends around them before asking to be reviewed here.
Finally, yes I don't think people wanna be scathing in their reviews, hence they would rather avoid it, if the track they downloaded was really bad. |

oh really.....???? what if the people around you around you expect GMS, Skazi, Sesto & Sub6 all put together in 1 track & anything lesser is a complete waste of time???? |

btw if anyone finds me on soulseek ("soliptic", frequently in the psytrance room) im really happy to get people's tracks there, since i can resume unlimited times, the modem is no problem here.

why would a party review from a party person be less deep than from an artists? people that dont make music have an equal as good understand for music as an musician..... sometimes even better because they dont over analyse the music !
The reason why I dont do reviews is because I dont think it's my place to give positive or negative reviews of other fellow musicians music... |

Critisicm could still be "played" in a positive manner...i'm sure u know that much better than me! and i think these feedbacks are very important to make the artist do better.....honestly |
