Ah, N. Carolina in September. I love the feeling I get when I look at the flyer and dream of what is going to happen. And think of all the people I get to frolic with in the beautiful country surroundings. I hope there's alot of good organic food at this event, hint-hint? Ha Kri, what time do I play, need to make a set? |

please contact me if you have art or goods to sell...
id like to see another little shopping village this year...
the only thing we require to attain a vending privilege is to purchase a full price ticket.
no additional vending fee or percentage or other capitalist wankin'!
though be aware: your tent, lighting, extension cords, table etc is up to you. we will place vending in an area where there is power.
as long as youre not selling alcohol, the rest is fair game.
please note though that we will have a food vendor offering a yummy, organic meal plan similar to what was at World Bridge... i am meeting with her on wednesday so more info on food will be available soon.
see you soon!!!

a grand hello from the central headquarters of monkey business!
we are in full swing planning and refining what is shaping up to be another amazing event!
some notes to share:
--after a meeting at deerfields and some location scouting, we have made the executive decision to move the main stage area to the large wooden stage structure (where World Bridge happened and where we had the chillout at POW-WOW...)
its an area much more condusive to dancing as the ground doesnt slope sideways, not to mention the power, shade and protection from the weather.
there is a large fire pit right in the middle of the very large dance area, which is centrally located to the two lakes.
no more scary walks down the hill to the stage hehehe...
-- i spent the afternoon working out details with our friend Ambra, who will be providing delicious food to us all through the event, under the guise of her growing business venture, Ambrosia's Delights. After her successful and very tasty offerings at both Croatan and World Bridge, we are happy to have her on board with us for KA-POW!
She is offering a Meal-Plan which can be purchased either with your presale ticket, or at the event, which is $30. The price for individual meals is $9. So if you plan on eating through the weekend the meal-plan is an economical way to provide yourself nourishment as you dance like a maniac.
Ambrosia's Delights
Special Menu for KA-POW! 2006
please note that this is only a draft and individual items are subject to change...
we encourage you to purchase a $30 meal-plan ticket either when u pre-register or at the gate. thats only 7.50$ a meal!
meals are 9$ each individually.
Friday Dinner
Cuban!
black beans
yellow rice
fried plantains
cabbage salad
yummy dessert
Sat Brunch
Rice pudding w coconut milk
raisins nuts and all the fixins
fresh carrot juice
tropical fruit salad
Saturday dinner
Japanese!
hearty miso stew w quinoa, tofu etc
seaweed salad w mungbean sprouts
raw veggie sushi (non fish, non rice)
Sunday Brunch
Bagels
scrambled eggs
cheese
soysage w carmelized onions and herbs
fresh tomato
-- We humbly encourage those who plan to attend to purchase a presale ticket, as that helps us out financially before the festival. if you plan on eating, add the meal plan fee to your payment and indicate your meal plan status on your paypal note. That means youre saving money AND planning ahead AND helping us throw a better event and have even more tasty food offerings for you when you get here!
thanks so much, we cant wait to see you all!

The food at World Bridge was great! You can't go wrong with somebody else cooking hot healthy food for you at a fest.

I just found out I'm playing fri. night at 2 am, that means for me to get into creating my set, I'm going to have to go out of my mind. I know you heard the words a thousand times, it's a rat race. Now, I'm SICK, and I'm shakin like a leaf! He was like silly puddy. They threw him in the paddywagon and doped him up.I hit one of those and I knocked the front wheel off into outerspace. I kinda got angry myself and thought, have a lot of weed. I like salad, just ate a nice salad. Baked potato, cheese and chives. I like to put sets together, for killer shows and awesome people. It always brings something to mind! |

I would love to come back to deerfielsd... Even if I manage to take some days off from work, the ride would be a problem.. So if anyone is planning renting something big from NY, I am up to it! |

both nights are set up very proper like, but friday night will be an absolute blast into a wormhole, I havent had night like that in awhile,
and if your set will be anything like it was in ATL wichdokta.... we are in for a serious treat,
oh and i think its a great idea to have the main stage at the same place the chillout was last year, that land seems better for stomping.
cant wait to party with everyone!
