anyone was there?

well.. I'm a bit confused about this one..
everything you can expect from a party was excellent! the sound, the amazing location, the ppl, etc..

it also wasn't complicated at all finding the location, unlike many parties recently which turns into a project..

we arrived at 4am, enjoying every second of BLT's set. way to go Yuli!! :)
but after he finished his set, from that point the music disappointed me. as Yuli told me it's a european morning set. I succeeded to dance wildly and matching myself to the music, but still.. it wasn't the same.. and overall was too hard for me. and for many others as well. . it's a shame cause it sure looked like there were many offorts to make this party a great one.. for the vibe and not for the money. . (they even had a laughing gas there.. lol :) )

but how much can you move when the music is getting harder and harder for you?

if next year all parties will be affected from the european style then I guess I'll quit parting. :(
I like hearing it but not when it takes contorl over the entire party!

you won't believe it but my friend had a small car accident there.. she almost hit camels who decided to walk on the high way... we were too full and far to help her and she had to hitch hike all the way back to tel aviv...

European Style sounds interesting, just the term. What do you mean? Morning music by Swedes? what's wrong with that? Is it worse than let's say... ISRAELI STYLE. So the morning was not up to expectations, don't blame it on Europeans... I don't know, I am getting a bit defensive and perhaps offensive to Tzahi, I mean no harm. I have been on this Scandanavian Kick for the last few months, and all I have been listening (Not true to 100%) has been scandanavian trance. I like MOST of it, I don't like some of it. And maybe I am misled as to who is truly scandanavian. Atmos and Noma are from Sweden, but both Polish as far as I know... still I consider them Swedish in my eyes. Hux Flux would be my ideal morning nowadays. As a matter of fact I ended up at Noma for Pessach rather than Hux Flux which ended up getting shut down early in the morning. I agitated all my friends, boy were they Pissed Off at me, but Noma was great and for that reason (The Shut Down) I ended up not going to Hux Flux. I live on luck. Anyhow, what is exactly meant by EUROPEAN STYLE as you put it. Alot of people are reading this forum, a lot reading this reply, a lot may be coming back in anticipation for your reply to my reply and so on and so forth la la la... (It is a few minutes past 4:20 and my efforts hit me hard)... so... some people may get discouraged and not come to shows by foreigners any more... That may be a bit EXTREME...

-Change of Subject-

I liked the idea of the Laughing Gas... I used to have a connection for tanks in the States and sell HUGE 18inch circumference balloons full of Medical Nitrous for 5 bucks... refils for 4...  How much were balloons there, WOW... that is what was missing from Tiveria a few nights ago... GAS... cool. Nostalgia. Been some years...

no hard feelings, Tzahi, just want an explanation to "European Style".

420, man. I'll give you a brownie.

Alas, the european style..

It is all terminology.. I won't share my opinion of the party cause I am definitely not objective here.. I will explain though what I mean Europian -

First of all I have to say that I have heard the BEST morning set I have heard for a long time.. Actually the one before that was also on Nadi and the 2Big party Pesach 1 year ago and Mark Allen was the one to give that pleasure and also then many ppl complained about the music that is not Full On enough for them.

Two nites ago the set that was played in the morning was Perfectly mixed, excellent choice of music ( most of it completely unheard I would say some 90% ) It wasn't scandosound though.. It was SwissSound and some Frenchsound but not from the 3Dvision formulae.
Excellent, minimalistic VERY PHAT KICK 'N BASS sound, very exact breaks with a lot of vibe into the tracks. I don't know about ppl that weren't dancing, but the dancefloor was packed with ppl in a complete trance madness. It was different a little bit not your put your hands up in the air but DIG thing and I like it more. From time to time a SUPER FULL ON moment arose and then DIG again.. That is trance how I see it and it was perfect for me.

Way to go for the organizers and for the VJ's

Only for the VJ's I could write a whole chapter..

Though the Tveria party is enough for me for a while :) (a week or 2) ;)

I just wanted to add smt about V.J-ing:
It's so cool and adds so much atmosphere, this goes to all the party producers: please use it more often, it's really great! :)

Happy you had fun at the party!

Well su, I dance rarely now, usually I finish my set and go home ;-) Only if the party is really something I stay and this was the case. I was dancing too..
One thing I don't understand.. Su, maybe u can help me.. From the moment there was light and it was possible to see, there were some 1000+ ppl on the dancefloor.. Now I know myself as a very objective viewer of what is going on and as far as I saw the crowd on the floor was dancing.

If u think they were doing something else then pls tell me.

Also u maybe noticed the standing ovasion ( Kapayim ) Shaybi - that's the DJ got after he finished the set. I don't think it was like - Uff Yalla go home u made me sick, but more like - Hey man, that was great see ya next time.. ;-)

One last thing for all the lovers of melodies and pure 'Israeli' trance or 'Goa' - if Shaybi was playing Full On music from 5:30 in the morning there would be no party left at 9:30. The party was finished ( as far as I know ) 11:30 and still some 600 ppl were there. That means something. Trance is not ONLY full on.

AND YES SU I ENJOYED DANCING VERY MUCH ;-)

i don't know yuli... i was there and everything was perfect except the music that was very bad.
i intead to agree with tzahi, most of the people
were not trancing or dancing they were moving.
to summerize there were great crowd there but non of a good vibe and the party didn't "zarma" like it should and it was very disappointing.
the drummer take too big part of the music and instead of helping  her , he tried to controll her. i went to see his drumming and he was very good at it,but how good he was he can't make trance!!!!.
when i go to a party i expect three things from the music.
1)i want the night to be fast and psycedilic.
2)i want the morning to be melodic with groove.
3) a good combination between full on 145 bpm goa karhana trance (: and low bpm groovey tracks.
but a party with no full on psycedlya can't reach the pick in my opinion.
the bonus of the party was the v.j who was great and maked wonderful movies to everyone!!.
and dont forget the gas!!!

Well Dor I don't really want to debate about this so I think we weren't in the same party.. or I am too old.. and I can't see and hear ;-)
One thing I can tell - I still know how to FEEL and I guess that the party was really FULL OF VIBE and ZARMA YAFE

The only thing I can add, and it's not altogether connected to our small debate is that the line of Itzik/David/Nadi parties goes on for a long time now and the line of the music in their parties is pretty much the same. Every time in the morning there is a full Karahana on the floor and every time some day after ppl go and say it was shit music ( remember Mino, Mark Allen etc.. )

so maybe there are two kinds of crowds - those who like it that way and those who don't.. So those who would like to have some GMS, Absolum, Talamasca etc in their morning can have plenty every where but not in Nadi's parties..

I myself it's rather kool that there is an option for ppl to hear something different and not the same 145 bpm on the morning every single time.

well spoken Yuli, I'm also feeling age creeping over me when I happen to fall into Cedric's hands. on the contary, in Magnus (Noma) set on the Good Karma ship, I was supposed to go down and babysit my kid but got stuck for 3 hours of pure pleasure (it was worth being yelled at by my wife...)
There are different tastes for people, and in the boat you could see clearly who was into deeper sounds and who just waited for Mael and Cedric (146-7 bpm sets) to make it easier for them.

In the end, there will always be ppl who like the set and ppl who wont. It's all a matter of taste.

BTW - Yuli, Hammutal sends her best wishes to U.

Cheers

well yuli i have arrived the party at 3 am and till 8:30 when i lived the party... the music sounds plus or minus the same for me.
it was'nt so bad music music. and i wish i could get some of it for home listening but as u say, there are some people that want to hear also full on trance.
i am in favor of a combination of the two.
so everyone and everytaste could be satisfied.
but in this one there were no combination till 8:30. i dont know how was the music after that.
but as u say you are older then me and if u say that the party had the vibe. and there were lots of karahana  out there...???
so i guess we look at things very differnt...
or maybe we were not really at the same party? (:

I also guess it depends on the drugs U're using. E's best for the higher beats, not too much to occupy your brain with.
LSD fits for more subtle, mind boggling mornings. I guess that it's easier to handle straight full-on trance then to get stuck in a halucination (if U're not experianced), and that's why ppl like full-on better.
U should see mornings in Scandinavia/Australia man - whooyee, the weirdness takes a totaly different direction there, I tell U!

yuli hi .

i won't argu abaut the music beacus it is reely a meter of taste.
but when i do'nt like the music i try to see if other ppl like it or not, well i did't see ppl going mad on the dance floor.
and about the klaping hand in the and,i see it as "why are you stoping the music go on".
and let's not forget it was hot and allredy 11:30,for me it meens that the dj did'nt gave them what they wanted.
and is'nt the dj gaol is to play for the ppl

pease

n.b:who played after you?

Howdy Su,

The DJ that played after me is rather unknown in Israel, his name is Sebastian, he is Swiss

It's right by the way that the DJ should see what the audience is about.. But as one from the audience u usually can tell by the line-up what is gona b the story...

So if there is a party with Mark Allen or Tsuyoshi then 90% sure there won't be a full on trance at all and probably also not higher than 140 bpm

So sets can b 'foreseen' and that is the reason that u won't find me usually attending 3Dvision parties for instance, but hell I might visit Dynamo Dvash from time to time and this way I ( almost ) never get disapointed from the music.

People,

As I was reading through this thread, I start wondering; are you going to parties just so you have something to complaint about the following week ?   Are you attending these events and make all the effort of finding and getting there, just so you can then speak (full of self arrogance) about how shitty it was, how bad the music was, how awefull the road was and the organizers..  well let's not even speak about this piece of shit !

WHAT'S  WRONG  WITH  YOU  GUYS  ?!?!?!

I arrived early enough to enjoy Yuli's full set and stayed until about 10am..   I listened and danced to Shaybo's music and enjoyed it very very much!   Simply an amazing set !! - excellent dj.  Neat clean mixes, excellent choice of tracks -all of them new for me- awesome vibe...

And the party itself...  Come'on !!   When did you see such a quality production in Israel ?   Maybe in a previous Nadi/2BIG event but definitely not in all those commercial events and money parties.

Am I also getting old and can't hear nor see anymore ?  or that my taste in music is so horrible that everytime I play in a party people through tomatoes at me ?   -I doubt it..

So to all of you 'pendejos' I can only say: GROW UP (or shut up) or both !    Ohh, and go get some English lessons.
