Loads of great movies here, but no-one's mentioned Blade Runner! That's a true classic IMHO.
I agree with all the mentions of Fear & Loathing, but how about Altered States?
And not the greatest, but I did like Team America, World Police by the South Park guys.

2008 brought 2 classic movies that should be mentioned: Dark Knight and Wall-E.
I have yet to see The Wrestler (Darren Aronofsky's recent with Mickey Rourke) but I think it's a safe bet to guess it will become a favorite of mine. Aronofsky has yet failed to amaze me.
