What do you think is the affect of this site and particulary this forum on the scene if you think there is any?

Do you think it's contributed to it's growth, or to it's worldwide spread nowadays?

Post your opinions here, it will be interesting to hear.

Please don't turn it into "Progressive VS Full on"/"Mp3's yes or no" and "Who has the best psychedelic snare hit" thread please.
Thank you.

There is some kind of affect. Maybe the artists can tell.           -=The Meaning Of Life Is To Give Life A Meaning=

i'm guessin' the mp3 lamers get lots of ideas from the top10 section for the latest unrl killers..

don't think she has contributed that much to growth but she certainly brings psyers from all the corners closer to each other..

I think it's quite important. It is the biggest psytrance community in existance, after all.

I think that the facts that artists tell their horror stories with labels over here, shows how much this place is big.

One thing I like about psy trance is that there is no "wall" between the artists and the public, like in other music genres, and I think this forum proves that very well, we're all the same

Another good thing is that this really is a comunity, and by numbers, its the largest psy comunity on the net Very interesting discussions happening sometimes And it makes everyone a bit more aware of how things work in diferent countries, diferences in parties, music tastes, etc...

So, yes, I think it must do some kind of "contribution" to the scene, specially for party promoters, labels, new artists wanting help and wanting to spread their work, and to all of us who read the posts and read diferent perspectives about various things.

How much affect in has, well I don't think things would be much diferent without it, but it must have some affect on some things...

The example of the artists telling their problems in here im sure that affects how some labels will behave in future, or a party review with many posts focusing on one thing could have some impact on a way the party organizer would give the next party...

Also, I really like the "music creation" section where ppl learn a lot from each others experiences, It already helped me many times

Well for me the most important thing this site achieves is the interaction between the artists and the general trancers. the first time I came up to this site, I couldnt believe that the artists really were posting stuff and responding to private messages. I thought it was some kind of joke and it took me a while to believe that they were really the people behind the nicks. in other music genres, this is really hard to find as generally the artists have some feeling they are above the listeners and dont really give a damn.
its just a really nice place to interact with other trancers from countries all over the world, get to know about parties/festivals all over the world, get the chance to see the reviews of cd's and all. I think all the have a positive affect on the "scene".
thx for the opportunity.           `Bottomless wonders spring from simple rules, which are repeated without end` Mandelbrot

the trance communtiy is also the most computer literate..... for me it's also just great to know that there are other people who have had similar experiences from all parts of the world.....it has definitely increased my fascination for psy-trance...it transcends race , gender, social status (like the dj's who are "just like everyone else")
so boom.....that's enough good reasons for me!!

When I first entered Isratrance.com about 4-5 years ago, the only trance artists I knew were Astral Projection,MFG and Eyal Bakran.
At first, I couldn't believe there are so much Israeli trance artists that I didn't know about. So much CDs and reviews; suddenly I had a huge source of useful info to dig in.
I couldn't find this info anywhere - not in radio, television, newspaper or even trough friends. Internet was the only source.

After some time I joined the forum and started developing an obsession towards original CDs.

I can safely say that without Isratrance.com I wouldn't have loved trance as I love it today, and labels would make a little less money because I wouldn't have been buying CDs

I bet I'm not the only one.

It is really great! I come from a region where there are no psytrance parties or shops or even fans of psytrance! Maybe 1% out of 150 million people? I am from South East Asia. I find it great to read news about the scene , as well as upcoming albums, top ten, everything! Its really great. I love you ISRATRANCE TEAM for making this happen and keeping the forums and community alive!

In my opinion, Isratrance has been playing a big role not only in allowing information to be brought to people everywhere but also in bringing people together by letting us share our experiences and thoughts.

It feels good indeed to be part of it...

isratrance helps propogate the global psychedelic movement directly. like the printing press, the internet allows vastly greater numbers of people to access information. isratrance is a proper use of this technology, allowing for communication like no scene has ever seen. iSRatrance breeds trance, is a focal point for scenes, makes every artist into a trancer and every trancer into an artist(unfortunately sometimes) but what more can i say about this incredible site. thank you so much and keep up the good work!

Yes defi isratrance has its own positive contribution towards development of the scene.
This is a powerful medium to exchange ideas and views resulting into global scenario knowledge.
