ive got a great idea to promote
the unknown and talented artists
from this forum.
we all know that the whole big artists
from israel posting here
so we let them to be the judges
the contest will let everyone from
this forum to send 1 track to the forum
and that the famous artists that posts here
will select the best trakcs and together with them we will build the cd.
i'm sure shahar (which has released a cd already) , could help with this.
we can make things up
i think it will give a big push
to the forum!
the second idea is to give the whole members here to pick the tracks
what you think ?

Well a nice idea would be for the artists not to ask for advance money but only to take money from the profits that this cd might make.
So if it costs lets say 4000 euros to make 2000 copies of this compilation and it sells all these copies and we get back lets say 12000 euros then 8000 euros will be the profit.
So the artists will get some money from it lets say 20% but what happens with the rest of the money?
No one should be allowed to make a profit out of this.Maybe a donation somewhere?
Maybe spend money to make this site better or something?
Money for free t shirts for everyone in this forum with the isratrance logo on them?
Spend them on Macdonalds?

first you need to sell 2000 copies of it before you can start and spread the money.
It nay seem easy but its not an easy job to sell this amount of copies nowadays |

the whole idea wasnt to get
any benefit , just to get known
after the cd will released
every artist will be in his own hands
in a hope to get a contract in a label
i know the idea is pretty hard to adjust
but hey , im sure it can be done
with the right connections and and a
will for a hard work!

shiping`s, digital mastering, release party, promotion...
and yeah, i wish every cd will sale 2000 copies that easy.

but this cd, because it will be non-profitable can be real cheap. buyers could get good quailty (yet unknown) music in let's say 30-40 shekels. just to cover for the expenses

other guys already tried this things in other forums (DOA for an example)
-it is posible if u do it right and there is no real profit from those kind of cd's just exposure!
