god.....

some of you use the word "psychedelic" or "psychodelic" for those of you who cant spell, way too loosely. Full on is not psychedelic. it may sound good (like 1% of it), and it may even be trance. but it is not psychedelic. it belongs in a club and not at a psychedelic party.

my biggest gripe is this.

people new to the scene are assimilating full-on into the "psychedelic music" catagory. which is clearly is not. and i can even accept that some of it is good. but it is not psychedelic. also, at psychedelic festivals, i want to hear psychedelic music. and the good ones dont play much full on at all......because its not psychedelic

pretty soon we will have hardhouse and eurotrance blaring in our ears at "psychedelic" parties. dont say i didnt warn you...

My friend,
I don't think Hujaboy sounds like Astrix, I don’t think Sub6 sounds like Psysex, I don’t think Pixel sounds like Psycraft, and I don’t think domestic sounds like reflex... And I could go on... Come on there are a lot of really psychedelic-full-on artists in Israel... You just have to ignore the clones...

how much extasy do you use man seriously ,psychedelic full on sound there is nothing psychedelic about it today believe me or not but the evolution of electronic is in the end of the line now it s just retro or spinning the same thing over and over again and selling the whole complex to kids that first experience with this music was infected mushroom

Please don’t comment on one of my posts ever again … Your tone is totally unacceptable… I don’t think you have understood the concept of a debate…           "Love is a way of life"

You are absolutely right, most of the music that is being released nowadays isn’t psychedelic, and that goes for both progressive and full-on, the only music that is continuingly psychedelic is Psy-chill-out…

umm..i thought that he actually made a very valid point. i think you are being a bit unreasonable personally man. perhaps you dont understand that a debate involves 2 people speaking their minds.

edit: yes i agree. psy-chill-out is still very psychedelic and i love it. but most of the new music is to formula based and predictable to be psychedelic.

"How much E to I take", that isn't respect that is Disrespect (because I think that it's psychedelic I’m already labeled as a E user)… And (not you overdose) for your information it’s been years…
And i'm happy that we agree (about psy-chill)...          "Love is a way of life"

no for sure, his first few lines were unneccesary (and not really that witty or clever anyways, since E is not even a psychedelic drug), but i tend to ingore the bull and get the general idea of what he was talking about. which was a valid point.

chances are he was maybe just trying to be funny (bless him)

and yeah, i would go as far as to to say psychedelic chill is my fav style. then psy-gressive stuff. i even enjoy some tasteful full on, although i do not classify it as psychedelic.

Then we almost agree completely, I used to listen 2/3 Progressive, 1/3 full-on and chill-out… But I have gotten a little bit tired of most progressive releases (it seems that this genre is also stuck in many ways) and I’m also bored with most full-on releases nowadays… But once in a while I find a really good full-on CD and once in a while I find a really good progressive CD, US2 was a great full-on CD (and the last track by Hikkomori sounds like all progressive should sound)for instance, and the Atmos album 2 brigade was a great progressive album for instance… But I would say that I listen to ½ chill-out nowadays..

I prefer this tone, ... And the festival you are talking about is too dark for my taste (a lot of dark-psy), it may be psychedelic, but I’m not fond of the dark vibe... (one positive thing though is that james Monro is going to playing there)

its from listening to too much of it that we have come to this conclusion.

it really depends on the style of full on for it to be beautiful. i dont know of any isreali full on acts that fall into that catagory.

The last Israeli album that really impressed me was a 2 year old album by STAR.X - Prepare to fly but it's not full on anyway but the style, the sounds and the quality.....phewww what an album!

Stop this neverending&pointless discussion!!!
The future and present of psytrance is in Uganda and nowhere else.

In the Uk, ESPECIALLY IN the South, it is techno or hard trance all the way..apart from the odd event in Birstol9which is good mind).
At free parties, we have some lovely venues in the woods & forests around here, but again, it is all Techno.
To hear that you believe the party scene in Israel is poor,..it sounds like a dream to me to be honest ..be grateful for what you have as there is no guarantee that it will always be there to be had.
Big respect to all on this site ...what a great community
