Shalom,
after reading all this, i would like to say that its very easy for us to generalize the whole scene and make a certain judgement based on a past experience, but i can truly say that all the israeli's ive met have been killaaah..... i was going to a partieee out inn North carolina in the states, was really broke, and hitchhiked it across five states to get to the gathering, it was a different time of my life, but i just had to keep it goan, the gathering had details for a food vendor, so u know i just took a couple of bags of nuts and 2 cupnoodles,,,,but upon reaching their was nooo vendor,,, so i set up tent and after biking it 35 miles ,,,, was really tiredddd.... i then was walking around the location where i met some killah israeli's,,,, he called me and gave a piece of charas stating how indian's like charas and over in America, its generally all about the ganja..... these israeli's baba's took care of me sooo much, ive lost intouc
h with them as to never meet them after the gathering,,,,, they fed me, smoked me out and also gave me free tripsss.... for the two dayssss..... if ya'll know any israeli's living in iowa, their a group of three that travelled ,,, pls give my love to them and am thankful for whatever they did for me without any expectationsss.... babasababaaa,,,, sooo all in all, shit happens and their assholes everywhere, i guess its important that we dont let ourselves be affected by them,,, love like you've never been hurt,,,,
i would love to go to israel sometime and eat some Shakshukka......hehehehe

moksha have also brought haltya multiple times.
i remember in 2005 going to the desert just to listen to haltya.
i also remember on my trip to gig in augsburg in 2005 i insisted on finding my way to the now defunct cosmophillia warehouse in munich, and choosing from all that massive selection the then new haltya because i enjoyed the connection the finnish music has made with the israeli crowd.
this guy is such a hypocrite it boggles my mind how mean and ungrateful people can be.
i make it a point to listen to music from people i know, and/or respect in some way. i like to tune in to the vibes and message through the music, and the message here, is not one i want to associate with.
so, for whatever it matters, you (haltya) have turned at least one big fan and contemporary musicmaker into a disillusioned foe, way to go mate, keep it up The Way Back

Why is he a hypocrite? Because he "dare" to tell a story about how some lame so-called organizer treating him extremely bad (It does happen - also in Israel) or because the bad story happened in Israel?
I wonder if you would have had any objections if the story had happened in another country?
To me it seem you have a very hard time accepting any criticism when it's about Israel or Israelis!

the blog he wrote is 1% about his bad organizer experiance, 99% random israel bashes.

i have a hard time accepting any hypocracy regardless of country race sex or whatever. and yes, as an israeli, posting on an israeli forum, i think i have a cerain right to get pissed off if someone comes here to use something bad that happened to him as an excuse to bash my whole culture.
he comes to this forum, to this israel subsection basically to tell us "asshole" and militaristic and whatever israelis just how much we suck. what is the expectation here? the answer you seek? that we grab our ankles and say "yes sir sorry sir we suck"?
* just as a side-note, i don't even consider myself that much of an israeli, as my mother is german i am not even really jewish, and i spent many childhood years in the usa. so, keep your speculations to yourself. this is a matter of integrity and respect as HUMANS and doesn't have to do with race,

Though it is a shame that this kind of behavior is common around here.
Sadly the situation enables people and gives them justification for appalling behavior.
Unfortunately in Israel, acting like a savage and making a mess until your will is done usually works...
And I've always wondered what is the true reason good artist are usually reluctant about coming here...

havent been followin this thread after first 2 weeks or so. It felt like going to a bad vibe discussion. Im not going to read it now either, cause honestly i dont care:)
I have also been treated like a king in Israel, and i think the party scene there is very strong and full power people make the party some of the best i have seen in the world. This particular trip was so bad for me that i could have made 3 music videos of te material, maybe 2 movies and a book just from that 1 mega failed trip to Israel. i still might

Sigh. To round it up:
1. One somewhat immature individual from Finland who does not really knows what to expect or handle impredictable situations abroad.
2. A political hot-spot location like Israel where people speak their mind and often lacks some of the social niceties.
3. The rave/trance culture itself (no offence, but IMHO an unholy conglomerate of hippies and criminals and people behaving accordingly).
What DID you expect, really? I almost get the impression of a rock star diva checking in to Hilton with the credit card given by the manager.
Immediately when you noticed you could not rely on the promoters, why did you not book your own hotel? If you have been in Israel before, why have you still not found a decent place to stay (that is not a "fuck hotel" or "too expensive")?
And stop dissing El-Al, it is a great airline, Finnair does not need military ECMs on their flights, you know
