this subject, the life of trance parties every week, trance calture in our life take a very huge place in our life (meny ppl all over the wourd.. (20 milions ppl that goes weekly to tracne enents and listen to trance music all the time)

My questions are :

* how do you see it? as a way of life or as something that only good for a short period of time??

* Is trance like other music for the ppl?
or are we a wourld true TRIBEs including aspects of similarity ,calturel, personal caring and uniting??

* and how long trance music and calture will last? couple of years ? or jenartions? or for ever?

p.s. my mom allways begging me to stop my trance life and i hope now i will know how to anser her

ehmm...a dance sub genre...well one of da most extreme ones. It's nice that sometimes gives an image of a "tribal unity" or sth...if it makes you feel unique and different take advandange of it in a good way. All in all have fun           don't fuck with me

i think 50% (maybe more) of the people who go to partys don't even get the music, they go just to have fun and forget everything, and thats cool.
I think it used to be a way of life but now when trance music is so wide and you have so many people in it its not a tribe or a way of life anymore.
-when somebody from the crowd steals a case from the dj it makes him a bad person.
-when people are trying to sneak into partys instead of paying, it makes them bad people (or people who don't care fot this matter).
-when party organizers make partys only for the profit/ego boost in it, its wrong.
-when people go to a party just to be seen at that party, that takes the whole point of the music out of the party.
So for me, its not a tribe or a way of life anymore, its pure music that i love. i wouldn't like to think of myself as a part of a tribe with the kind of people i mentioned above.

Absolutely. I love culture. I love urban culture. In New York there is a really nice drum and bass event every monday and i go just to enjoy my presence around the people. Everybody is their very individual, everybody has stories to tell, everybody has their own thing for a certain style of dnb.

Don't get me wrong for mentioning drum and bass. It's the culture that counts.

In that same club i met a dude from Israel 3 weeks ago. He likes both psytrance and dnb and i was like...YOO man, respekt. I'm the same. And we decided that we want to sit down and make a tune together. So we're trying to get together but it's very difficult between school, work and so on. ANd finally last night he came from NY to New Jersy by bus and he's been in the city for only a month! ANd he is going back to israel...well, he going home TODAY! And he came. Look at that effort. We went to my friend's house and chilled, we puffed a lil bit and we had a great time. That's culture. He was telling us about parties, I was telling about parties in the US and we had a KILLA time Do you know how much i loved and appreciated hanging out with somebody who loves psytrance. I don't have that here and it's different than hanging out just with anybody. So there is a culture and it's alive, it's among us when we are at parties we just need to open our eyes and look at people...and appreciate everything about it.
Everything that is part of psytrance is a topic for conversation between psytrance people. Decorations, nature, lakes, clubs, hang outs, people, events...how somebody did something and everybody laughed...you get the idea.

I can put this in much nicer words and with a lot more depth into it but i'm just not concentrated enough. Anyway, keep in mind...there is a psytrance culture for those who like to enjoy it.

peace.

please dont give up on the way of life. or else you will just become one of those people that buys the culture alongside with the ticket to the party and leave the way of life at the exit just like the ticket.
does it sell hindu religion? maybe
does it transmit taoist filosofy in the trance core of those beutifful notes? yes at least for me
dont be nice to someone just because you are at the party and everybody looks different because as you said you see more and more regular f***-ups. I think the ppl that take this way of life serious are mostly old people from our grandfathers generation, sadly they dont like the music because if they did, maybe they could teach some people a thing or two. kind of nice seeing one here or there at partys like the voov and the boom

I'll correct myself- It's a way of life, for those who choose to follow it.
about the tribe feeling- very hard to feel it today at a party, the big good gatherings do bring that feeling back.
