is there any solution to the fake tracks...!?

i think its pretty funny and amusing to see how u all talk next to the problem...
and ignore and deny everything... in the end im glad i posted this topic, even if not "allowed" , its makes it even clearer how bad the situation is in "psytranceland"...

by now ive seen so many fake tracks from artists wandering around the world that im wondering what the artists can do about it!?
i've been online downloading music and seen many fake tracks
like for example grapes of wrath, by now ive seen more fake tracks on the net , than they made real ones, says enough no???
take gow as an example, i've downloaded so many fake tracks from them
one solution is , i think, that the artists out on a website, every track they made + tracktime
i know it wouldnt solve it all but sure might help a little bit..
so basicly i ask all the artists to put all their tracktitles/other info to their webpage so i can check out every track that it's real before i download it
any other suggestions or ideas?

loooooooool. i think traveller said it all. really funny how he answered all the questions....
to fake tracks the best solution is to buy from online stores or to get directly from the artists or from the label... getting promos. if you wanna play unreleased so better you know the artist or better to play released tracks than downloading bad quality from internet...

why would i need to dl fake tracks from gow for example if i can get the tracks from them personally? or u all misread what i write or just dont get it at all dont u?

1) dont have fake tracks but yes seen many
2) i got all tracks from grapes that i have from those guys temself
3) u still deny the problem and think it will go away by denying it
4) ull prolly as most even deny u ever dled on the net, tracks, cds, movies or programs.. and then expect me to believe it, try again cos i wont...
5) yes i have a suggestion, stop thinking ur better than the rest cos mostly those who think they are , are mostly the worst...

Let me ask you all a question:
How many tracks from GOW, Vicious Spiral, Meteloids, Kindzadza, Winter Demon, Digital Talk, and other stellar psychedelic artists have been released????
anwer: very, very few. and in the mean time, what do you expect people to do? wait? listen to GMS? give up trance because it's so boring?
maybe if we tried to release new tracks fast, instead of waiting for a year, there would be less trading. maybe the answer is EP CDs with 2, 3, or 4 high quality new tracks? That cost half the price of a full length CD?? I bet more people would buy them, too, because most CDs out there only have 2-3-4 good tracks anyway. Why pay for the dead weight?

Funkki, don't blame the ppl for misunderstanding you, after reading the post first time I also thought the same.
But nevertheless, what can you do? this incorrect naming of trax is a sub-division of the whole illegal trading scene, and it existed since the good old days of MD and DAT swapping. That's what you get when dealing with 3rd, 4th or 10th hand music - information has a tendency to get corrupted, sometimes people get a N.N track and think it sounds like artist X, they name it as such and start trading - you get the picture... or when someone writes the original name incorrectly (azrix instead of Astrix for instance), and every hand henceforth adds to the confusion...
Again, what can you do? The same inability to control illegal music trading is in effect here, and as we all found out, there is no solution yet to THAT problem.
Maybe this incorrect naming is for the benefit of the artists - people THINK they have the real trax, the artists get free promotion and when releasing the REAL track, people will have to buy it because now they discover they have the WRONG track. think about that...
It was quite funny to play in one party when the DJ before me ended his set with Winds of War, and when I informed him that its my track, it appeared he had it under a completely different name...

I cant really figure out the meaning of this thread, no matter how hard i try. If you get the tracks directly from the artists what so YOU care about the fake titles of the tunes people swap in the internet? Shouldnt you be concerned about the trading in general, not the titles? Oh well... |

im concerned about both omni, read my first post on the vicious spiral topic..
both trading and fakes are sad..
and people denying it happening as sad..
and as i said the artists concernet dont like those fake tracks either...

Bro...you really think we believe this stuff? That you get all your tunes of artists like you say, but in the meantime you keep walking into false names? How is that possible if you get 'em from the artists? Or you gonna tell us now that you are on Soulseek and other programs to watch all other people on behalf of the artists? Come on man...get real and stop talking shit....if you're a damn downloader and trader....than at least stand for it....that way we might still have some respect for ya !!!! Clean up ur act amigo....or feel feel to correct me where I'm wrong....it's up to u !!!

Well i noticed many smart suggestions about buying cds in stores - all this smart people can relax a bit  ... we talking about unrelesed tracks
And yeah dear artists !!!!
If u dont what people to judge u by some fake music they heard plz make (or better ask ur friends to make ) web pages with tracklists and maby little sample in low quality and/or timing...
