Hi, Aeon... yeah, 28thday is still around. We're working on a park party for our three year anniversary, though it is too early to post details (we're not sure we're going to get the permit yet, etc). However, let me say this; the last few events that 28thday has done has featured a strong effort by a small group of assholes to get us in trouble. I've caught people openly drinking at park parties, bringing beer into our loft parties (the venue for our nye event got fined due to beer bottles that the police found around our bar, and we weren't serving beer), and in general not respecting the things that we ask people to do to make our lives easier as promoters. Following the catastrophic financial loss that was NYE for us, we had people demanding their money back; one group showed up at my APARTMENT post-event and threatened me. When we try to throw presale only events or ask people not to bring or openly drink alcohol, we don't do so because we're on a power trip... we do so because we don't want to get fined by the police. people ignoring our requests and making our lives harder while we're spending time and money to throw quality underground events, especially free events, really saps my energy and makes it much harder for me to justify the time 28thday puts into these events. I catch the same people making my life harder every event we throw, and it's really made throwing the free park events i used to love doing leave a sour taste in my mouth. Don't get me wrong... there are lots of people out there who have gone above and beyond to help us do what we do, and we love you guys. It's just unfortunate that there are people on both sides of the divide in that regard.

It's simple.. Park parties are difficult.. Seeing that it's an open space.. Other then that.. An indoor event.. Ask them to stop.. if not politely leave.. If they refuse..

I know it's a bit of a bad vibe, but if it comes to the extreme *music cut* "guys, party won't continue till so and so stop with the bs(whatever it may be)" I can totally assure you that the music will come back on.. as the guys will see a pissed off crowd looking at them and learn to behave.

You get your assholes and kids everywhere... If you know who these people are specificly do it like we used to do in portugal a looong time ago... by email and ear post it here and ask to pm you. I'm sure all the right ppl will want to go. Then the ppl you don't know.. Like myself lol.. you will have to take judgement.. have a chat with.

Seriously I love the underground efforts.. It's the psytrance route of creation.. Nothing like that family vibe...

Cheers !

The best parties are the ones that are not advertised (outdoor).. my advice is go to every party you can (find them here on Itrance) and become friendly with the NYC scene. Sooner then later people will be telling you of parties and no more looking around!
