Prior to the discovery of trance magic, when i was into metal i had seen a lotta heavy metal heads and mostly wanna metal heads bitch around about classic and talented band like pinkfloyd etc..
Is it my illusion or its true that nowadays people have developed this same attitude of bitching about infected mushroom or they feel 'cool' saying i dont like them.. i dont understand ..as for me they are gods of psychedelic trance.. and it goes in my heads when i come across ppl who show this stupid attitude of hating infected mushroom. There music is not played in the party is different aspect , but why hate them ?
whole world will love psychedelic trance some day..it wil be superior than psychedelic rock.. i believe .. I am a part of infected mission.

thoughts please

music is something subjective. some will like it, some will not. It is just normal to critisize artists. I.M were one of the artists that I listened to first(in psytrance) and I can count them as one of the artists that made me like psytrance. Artists can change in their musical sphere, they can decide to go to another direction, but I just dont like the way they are going and the new songs just dont fit my taste. I dont think many people think of trying to be "cool" when reflecting their negative views. Its not a stupid attitute. some will like them, some will not. this is music we're talking about. so I say take it easy on your "infected mission" and remember to respect.           `Bottomless wonders spring from simple rules, which are repeated without end` Mandelbrot

what to say......sure its all about music, and again and again, its all a matter of taste....to the infected mission I have to say, that I love their "the gathering" album wich still totally rocks me and I have damn respect for their development and the way to bring psychedelic trance near to the commercial site.....maybe its the mission of IM to show the world thats all about psytrance....who else could make it possible ?.... just a vision... :;))....to this hate thingy.....its the same like with the two gms guys....if they going famous, jealousy is near !....thats it..

and again.....all a matter of taste !

cheers           I just came out, cause it seems there was a noise outside ! .... added to Parvati Records rooster .. check webside !!!

hey thanks for thoughts friends..
by saying stupid attitude i didnt mean to disrespect ppl not liking IM.. but yes i am agaisnt the forceful hatred developed by external influences rather than self judgement.. or 'to be cool' is sure thing that get on my nerves.. we all love our scene.. .. just need to see whether or not new generation respect the kings of psychedelics.

other point here i would like to discuss is IMs latest creation which ive seen not being appreciated by many ppl.. ofcourse it is the matter of taste i agree with you ISLE. But people should know the difference between 'not liking' and 'hating'. Stuff u dont like need not be hated. for eg. if i dont listen to elton john .. doesnt mean i start hating him or bitch about him. just be it. Everyone at this level knows what they r doing.

ive seen infected mushrooms last album coverting vegetarians being appreciated by non-psy people as well as psy people. The only way of enjoying it is different.. may be just like non trippers trip on pink floyds and so do the trippers.. but differently..
which make them(floyds) known and respected by BOTH sides of the world.

same way i am surprised when i come accross people bitching about infected coz they dont get to dance hard

well dude dunno about the place where u live in...........but in mumbai, india..........ive never seen floyd players being booed by guys at rock events........unless they are actually really pathetic..........

but yes regarding the IM thing ur talking about......as i see in the forum its very true.......but somehow in reality ive never come across anyone who says im sucks........yeah they do say that they have gone mainstream and all.......which i to a certain level agree.........u can see the difference in their old and new sound........

peace

on a final note both floyd and IM are sort of pioneers in their own ways.........so they are far away from suck.........

IM's mission is to Infect the whole Planet. To infect every brain, they have to go mainstream, and when once everyone on this planet is infected, IM can go back to their roots and make the old sound again, and everyone will love it and party!!

The world will be a better place... no more war ( ), everyone will be friends ( )

I think this kind of thing happens in every scene, i was really into Metallica but after the black album me and everyone else started to dislike them, IMO the same thing is happening to IM, but now i realize that its not a bad thing, they are doing something they love, and growing up in their music....

If you like it you like it, if not then you don't like it.

But music seen as art, it is impossible that it sucks coz it is expression of the artist, so it is how it is.

I think the semi-classical stuff of the first 2 albums left a lot of room for improvement. When they ditched this imo very interesting concept and returned with the mainstream stuff nearly every1 was doing...Goodbye IM.

Same applies to Metallica after the '...and justice' album...At that time there were simply more interesting bands around that would take some risk musically. Its more appealing and challenging for me to 'discover' new talent than waiting for the big ones to release another predictable album...

infected

first 3 albums were incredible, for me they really played with all the boundaries of psychedelic trance, they developed a style of their own, completely independent from any category that existed, their tracks were completely innovative and the production is absolutely perfect.

but converting vegeterians, was a step in a complete different direction, maybe they got bored with only participating in an underground culture such as psytrance, they knew they could get out on the surface and be successful, and now you see their videos on sony channel, or you see them playing in television shows in israel.

but the original idea, the creative impulse that first gave them their "status" as artists was completely forgotten, in converting vegeterians you have IM doing their stuff as always, same style, same excellent production, but completely polished and shallow, made so that everyone will like it. they wanted to be bigger, they were already big in psytrance, now they want to be big in the whole world, and they clearly know how to do it, but its the same story as always, when a band wants more people to hear their stuff, they have to adapt to what the people want, and there they loose their soul and they sell out.

i understand them and i imagine it must feel great if more and more people listen to your music, but when your art and your intentions are put in a second place, that means you lost it.           Psychedelic Trance from Argentina

Well, you said it right and almost everything.
They want more people to enjoy and listen trance music.. and probabaly want to rock above as well below the surface.

Dunno if infecteds mission is to infect everyone in this world .. hehe dont think so.. their mission may be to make everyone love psytrance music .. because even right now if u take the statistics i wonder what will be the percentage of ppl in this world listening to psytrance !! ?? 5%...2% ?
