Is Brazil becoming the biggest PARTY scene in the World ?

Anyway, speaking about Sao Paulo alone (the capital of the Sao Paulo State), the scene is like this NOW: Tuesdays there´s the UPSY Project, an indoor weekly night dedicated to full on...Thursdays, one has Klatu, maybe the oldest psy club in São Paulo, and Under 136, a weekly progressive dedicated night...Fridays, you´ve got Freak*A*Delic, by far the largest and most artistically inspired psy club in Brazil. Hardly there´s a weekend in São Paulo when there´s no outdoor party. And if that wasn´t enough, on Sunday´s EVENINGS there WAS a chill-out project, Shakti, which is on the verge of becoming a full fledged psy night ! I could mention other incidental events, also other clubs where psy sounds are also played. And this happens on the city of São Paulo alone. Rio de Janeiro´s scene is very slowly growing, as is Minas Gerais. And no one knows exactly what´s happening on the rest of the country. Parana, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil´s southern and nicely developed states , have a huge potential and plenty of space too ! So, I think it´s not a matter IF we are the biggest scene around. It´s just a matter of WHEN...

It good to see the the see is growing in Brazil !
But the sad part, is that most of the people I see attending those parties, are there just for the drugs... Most of them don´t even have a clue if it´s trance or not or what dj is playing...

That´s right! All they know is that they´re having a good time and enjoying, to me that´s the best things. The person comes and say: "I don´t know what the fuck was that music, something called psytrance i think, but i loved!" I don´t know what´s the matter with people not having a phd in psytrance or what so ever. |

If you're looking for festivals the best time would be from september till october, cause there are plenty of hollidays during those months, in september you have independece day (7th) and october a religious one "Nsa Senhora do Brasil" (12th) and on this last one colleges and schools stop their activities for 1 week, and lots of parties happen around those dates. |

Hey Freeman, you should try to come in July... from the 10th to the 15th we will have one of the best parties of the year (if not THE best) which is called Trancedence Festival... really nice line up (go to the thread Trance in Brazil in this forum and check it out)... I'm sure you won't regret it

Well Jean-Louis, I think you are not undersanding the point. Don´t u see that most of those that say what u said are ON DRUGS? They´re saying it cause they´re on Ex, and I think u know what kind of feeling ex causes. There´s no problem about not knowing about psytrance, the problem is think that parties are good cause is free for drugs use. Imo, that´s the major problem of "scene" here.

I think I got exactly what´s the point my friend. Maybe you´re the one who´s not seeing the thing from a diferent perspective. I´ll tell you something about drugs, there´s only one kind of place to take it and have a good time: a place where you´re absolutely confortable with yourself! And let me ask you something, wherelse would you feel better than with a whole bunch of friends, in a beautifull landscpe, where none will judge you for the way you dress, look or dance, and still listening to FUCKING GREAT MUSIC???!!! Why do we make parties if not to enjoy every single second of it? If not to provide our friends a big smile on their faces and the happiness of being on that place on that particular time? Parties are all about the moment they´re happening, not before, not after, just that very moment. Taking drugs is just the consequence. Didn´t you ever arrive at a beach party with that dancefloor of dreams, feeling the sand in your feet, called your buddy and said: Hey let´s have an e?

DRUGS OR NO DRUGS ITS A FACT THAT BRASIL IS BECOMING THE BIGGEST PARTY SCENE IN THE WORLD. BRASIL IS THE BEST PLACE IN THE WORLD FOR ALMOST EVERYTHING, THE WORLD IS JUST DISCOVERING IT NOW, AND BRASIL IS DISCOVERING TRANCE NOW.

It's starting to get cold in here. Winter is around the corner.
But such a big country always has different weathers here and there. I'm talking about São Paulo only.
