I feel comfortable in colorful clothes.. and i dont dress like that just to show off at parties...
I go to parties for the music and to have a good time..

and i dont think ppl who wear colorfull do it for show of..
and i like those ppl cuzz we if we all come comfi there wont be anything special about the party!

clothes is not important.. do or do not do drugs either..
if someone is not giving you a respect cause you don t dress like them.. u shouldn t give this person respect either...

you shouldn't judge people by how they dress right?
but we do.. its natural that certain modes of dressing are adopted by people to say, you know, 'i belong, i'm part of the gang', this is not just a trance thing, any scene has its style and fashion. however what is different about the trance scene is i generally find that whatever you look like, if you just want to party and be friendly etc, then people will treat you with respect (plur or something i hear its called, that guy anders is always going on about it ). you don't have to dress like some kinda cyber-baba, but no one will have a problem if you do. i went to a couple of parties in a suit and tie once (ok so the tie did not last long ) and no one cared.. thats whats good! and nowadays i just wear clothes i don't mind getting messed up a bit (we have a big problem with pools of water on the floor in london trance clubs )

Well, there is some kind of dresscode. Not like it used to be, but still.
I go to raves dressed with a comfortable pair of trousers and sports shoes, and a t-shirt. Not too collurfull, cause I don't like it.
But you have to agree that if you see someone walking in the middle of a rave with high heel shoes and a mini skirt, it would seem funny. I saw that a couple of times and it made me laugh. I mean where do u think u are?

i think that dressing is important.... lets say some1 comes dressed like a shimon im sure u all will see him differently than a colourful happy trancer.

I gotta say that I go to parties for the music and dancing first, but there are many factors that contribute to the feel of a party. The deco/VJ show contribute, and yes, people's clothing is a big part of the atmospere at a party. I mean, if you went to a party and everyone was wearing a suit and tie, wouldn't that have a major impact on the feel of the party? It might still be fun and great, but definitely different!
I really enjoy looking at different people's fashions. Some costumes can be so beautiful, and some so trippy! And fashion can reflect on your personality, so I like that part of it too. |

since people express their self to others by how they look and dressed. there is an important part in this desicions, not only at party's.
how i will be looked? am i want to be noticed? am i happy and want to express it? or am i moody and want to hide. all diffrent things that change the look of the party and make the people to LOOK different/plur/colourfull/hippie.
comftability is another side, but thats kind of excuse in my opinion for the need of being less expressive in that dialog.
myself, im not that expresive on the floor, but it doesnt say im not considering my look
its kind of mix, ainly minimalism, techy, 80 ...
