What really bothers me about this story is, Omid first got nervous at 05.00(!), but Dado was supposed to play at 04.00, and was even supposed to be at the party at 02.00? Makes you start thinking...

It is virtually impossible to find a taxi anywhere on this planet on New Years Eve.
Secondly if i expect my artist to be on the party place at 02.00 and he is not there until 03.00 maximum then i call him to see what is going on or send someone to the hotel/home he is staying to pick him up and bring him to the party.
Anyway this story sucks and i dont think that it is Dado's fault at all,i have worked with Dado in the past and he was very typical and professional in all aspects.

Conzzept Records wrote on the danish site TranceTunnel.dk, that the reason for them not contacting Dado, was that the mobile phone net was down around midnight. Other people say that it was the case in big parts of Copenhagen.
Starting to look like a serie of coincidences and misunderstandings. Unfortunatly with a sad outcome 
Still, I think the organisers are the most responsible, but probably had the best intentions.

The mobile phone net is down from 11.30 to 02.00 all around the world due to the countless calls for happy new year and stuff.
The man was playing at 04.00
Come on come up with a serious excuse guys.

Kristian kristian.. Its very easy to see who told you this story, Dado, and well yes maybe he's right, but I still think you sould call and talk to omid, before you just say "This is the way things happened"  you are way to sure of what is the truth and whats not! This is 2 people saying 2 different things! Who is telling the truth!?

I have known Dado for many years mate and he have never been arrogant toward me or anyone I know  I dont know where you have heard that he's arrogant?
Anyway whatever the story is, ( and I still belive dado's version over Omid's version - due to other mistakes ) in the end it's Omid's mistake that he did not arrange private transportation on a New Years Eve. No one (except Superman..lol) would be able to go anywhere without a private car on New Years Eve.
And again I have nothing personal against Omid at all. He's a very nice guy.
Anyway I have done my part in all of this as a help to dado. Now it's up to Omid and Dado what's going to happen further.

who said anything about arrogant here? I dont see it anywhere? haha... well I give to totally right mate, the best thing would have been to arrange a private ride for dado that way it would have been 100% he showed up! But yes now its up to Dado and Omid to find out!
Yeah hope we can make some music soooon! its been to long mate, btw: when are you moving to sweden? Emok also moving this month (25th) so we are quite a few now! haha...

Well.
Espark you know a lot of people have had problem with Omids parties. and Omid is really a nice guy, it's not that.
he called me at 2 PM on NYE and asked me to help him with gear for the party.
Omid NEVER calls me, unless he needs my help for free and he is desperate. so i don't really want to help him when he does this.
he asked me for a JP8000, Nord Lead 2 and a MOTU 828 firewire card.
Said that you DADO should use it. (maybe i should introduce myself, like espark and the others im a danish artist and i play as a dj as well, i have not been playing much lately though, but im usually helping out at parties with contacts, and maybe some gear)
the thing that i was a pit irritated about when Omid called me, was that it's NYE and where are you going to find this kind of gear if you don't have really good contacts??
if he had asked a few days before it would have been much easier.
and i don't have any of the gear myself to help him out. besides i know i would get nothing for letting him use it anyway.
then on the phone omid says something like "what the fuck is this motu 828 firewire card" ????
i mean? come on? as a promotoer you get a runner list and you check it and you make sure everything is in order and works before you are on the day with the party.
i was really surprised with this.
But Espark can agree to this, if Omid says that he gave DADO the money for a cab, then there is a quite big chance that he actually didn't, and it's just something he says to make himself look ok.
he was once to arrange my engagement party with my girlfriend at a local club, he couldn't even handle that, and actually lied to us about everything and in the end turned out to be on vacation the day of the party.
so DADO ? im sorry to say, but you are not the only one,,, and not the first. probably not the last one as well.......

about one year ago, Bitmonx was to play in Copenhagen...
so i went there too (lucky for me with no ticket yet)
when i got there , there where about 2000 people very angry...NO BITMONX...no party..
total chaos!
I am NOT 100% sure.. but IF i am not mistaken...
This was the same party arranger..
so cujo is right...
this was not the first incident of sad missunderstandings here in Copenhagen..

i beleive the location was the "Silo" at Bryggen...
and sure hehe maybe not 2000 = )
however the party was Closed for some reason..
and there was a BIG croud outside the adress printed on the flyer...
but.. people could then use their ticket for the next bitmonx party...
so in the end it was ok.... or was it?
the point was that this incident was not the first missunderstanding in copenhagen...

Yea that was Omid.
i don't remember if it was with another guy or what. it was not at fabrikken, it was at Bastionen if i recall it correctly??? maybe there are 2 different bitmonx parties. he played here every weekend at the time it seemed like.....
But Bitmonx where there. but the party was closed by the police early, because of they didn't get permission to sell alcohol and some other problems as well , if im not mistaken.
the problem was that people with tickets, could not get their money back, people who just got in, could not get their money back. nothing.
ok, i know this is trance and it's usually like this.
but this party was set up and supposed to be taken care of professionally.
Omid really tries lately to have his parties made professionally. this one is no excuse. when there is a problem you run. you organize it pro. enough, but if there is a problem then you don't know anything about it.
that's about the philosofy around here. not just with Omid but with other people as well.
im not saying that omid is running and not taking care of the problems.
because with this party , they immidiately after set up a rumor on trancetunnel.dk that there would be a new party, and you could get in for free if you had your old un-used ticket.
this is ok i think.
speaking of running from the problems. what about the party where everybody played for free. people payed pretty much to get in, and everything in the bar and the door was supposed to go to the victims of the party with BOMB..... did they get anything? not a single penny.
now that is not fair.
but hey dado? the mentality for this, is no different than in most other parts of the world.
there are some pro, some semi-pro and some bad organizers.
here we actually have a really good organizer who is actually pro / semi-pro and doing good, but sometimes strange things happens and things can't be explained properly. like in this case.
To me it's just getting pretty common that there is a problem when Omid throws a party.
It's not necessarily Omid who makes the problem, but there is nearly always a problem. so im really not surprised by this.
but for example he threw a lot of parties before, and he is not stupid. and he has a lot of experience. so there is probably an explanation for this in some way....
if there is not , then im a bit disappointed...

It was certainly not at Bastionen. I was there, and I think it was called "Fabrikken" or perhaps Ruth is right with "Siloen". There was a replacement party at Level a couple of months later.
Oh well, I'm getting off topic here
