I've heard that klubhead, the guy running the website is on vacation.. That should explain the large amount of downtime. |

I have once again send a e-mail to a guy named Robert. He is the one that contacted me on Omid's behalf. I have asked him to contact you immediately. Let's see what he does. But the party should still be on. So yes let's cross our fingers.

well i have to say that i ve been in complete science fiction last night in copenhagen;
after i did sound check, the guys didn t pick me up but at six o clock in the morning,yes you read correctly,saying it was "hard to find a cab";
and when i arrived they refused to pay my whole fee (after promising me to pay me the whole night before and not doing so),
as i don t work for nothing i decided to leave the place,anyway half of the croud was gone already...
i m feeling very sorry for the people that came last night to hear deedrah, but they ve been ripped off,like me. i lost my new year s eve waiting to go to that party (i dont describe you the time i spend freezing cold trying to grab a cab myself ) and i lost money big time this night,
on the other side,they had a sold out party selling my name at low cost;
i hope people will make the right choice next time they go to this kind of event.

yeah sorry to hear this story, but I guess there always are 2 sides of the story, and Im sure Omid has other things to say about this! But lets see I tried to get him in here to write his story!

Sorry to hear that Dado didnt got payed but i am mostly sorry for the people that didnt have the chance (though they paid their ticket) to listen to Deedrah live perfomance.
I hope that the organisers can come up with a good explanation for this one though their whole attitude till now seems tottally unprofessional to me.

As I heard from omid (I just got a quick talk with him) he gave Dado money to the cab (Dado was to stay at Franke's place wich is in the center of copenhagen and should be very easy to find a cab even on a new years eve) and asked him to be at the party at 02.00 the latest! (he was supposed to play at 04.00) latest because he wanted to be sure he was there in good time.. also half the gig money opfront.. but as omid says when he didnt hear anything from Dado at 05.00 he got nervous and send a guy from the party in a cab to pick him up.. So when he was at the party at 06.30 (party has almost to close there) he was a bit upset there was some discussion about the money and Dado was suttenly gone! (Thats the fast version I heard) belive it or not?!
so what to belive, In anycase I think both sides has there size of the blame here, not only the orginazor!

Jesper it's just not true... here's the real story! Told not only by Dado but also a few other people that was there !
Dado arrived at the Airport and meet with Omid and recieved the money he had put out himself for the Airticket + half the gig money. Then he went to do the soundcheck and after that he went back to Frank's place... He tried to call Omid and Seb (they were surposed to call him but didn't call at all) many many times to find out how to get to the party but no one answered the phones.
Jesper it's very very very difficault or almost impossible to find a Taxi anywhere on New Years eve! You know that mate 
Dado tried to call all night but could not reach Omid or Seb on their phones and at the same time he was standing on the street and inside a Cafe for hours trying to get a Taxi without any luck!
They could also have called Franks house but did not call at all! There was actually someone sitting there all night waiting in case they called!
Finally in the morning he found a Taxi (Omid did not send anyone to pick him up) and he arrived at the party around 6.00. He meet Seb and asked if he was surposed to play and if he could get his money (he was promised to get all the money when he arrived to Denmark). Seb said find Omid... Dado went inside the party but could not find Omid anywhere so after waiting quite a while he decided to get his gear and go back to Frank's place (The taxi was still waiting with his girlfriend outside)... So you see not really the same story
In the end it's the organiser that have to make sure that the artist get to the party...NOT the artist! Omid knew it was almost impossible to get a Taxi on New Years Eve..... Why did he not organise proper transportation in the first place?
Very bad organising in my opinion... And final... He must pay dado all the money! It's his own mistake that dado didn't play!
I was surposed to talk to Omid about a label party for Domo Records in Copenhagen but after this episode I am going to talk to someone else! It's not the first time he fuck up! I just though he had changed...But no
I have nothing against Omid personally I just think he should start to get his act together.. The only one he hurt is himself in the end.
A final note: The party had sold out in tickets so there's absolutely no excuse not to pay the agreed money to Dado. This is just another story that give Denmark and Copenhagen a bad image! We dont need that! |
