I think the "normal crowd" would dig something like astrix or new astra projection (amen) something progessive and less psychedelic and trippy |

maybe progressive than Astrix ?
BTW Astrix have progressive track on Avalanche of Sound 1 compilation so Astrix is much more pro that Astral ..... |

If they heard hip hop, you need to keep with the non 4/4 beat music.
Violet Vision (their newer material), maybe the non trance remixes to ra'heya. Some Shpongle, the dancable stuff or Younger Brother. Maybe it will be too psychedelic for them.
Try also some club trance, or closer to psy such as Yahel.You could also try with the remixes to rock songs, acid for nothing, smells like teen spirit, etc etc etc. Even if you may think that it sucks - they never heard it before and they'll like it. Maybe. 
Stuff with singing can be nice - Infected, Bamboo Forest. Just don't bombard them with evil stuff. please.

some Infected stuff would work...
stuff from TimeTech...
there is a track called 'Copine'... its on a double CD dragonfly compilation (black with dragonfly logo)... if you're looking for sexy trance that would def. work.... same compilation has a track called 'Explorer' which would work too.
Any of the Prodigy psy-remixes will work very well...
**I think another good strategy is to mix in and out of tracks very quickly...
