Tell me about you and your projects.

I am Miki Bibas a.k.a Miditec, 23 years old from the southern part of Israel called - Beer Sheva. I started to create music when I was 15 years old. I had just a personal computer and some wave-Samples on cd. The first program I used for creating was impulse tracker and after 2 years I have started to work with Cubase vst. Further I got a keyboard and a soundcard and started to create some great tunes. I used to create progressive music music when I began and after couple of years I was into creating full on psy.

As and when it appeared the interest for the trance music?

At the age of 14 I heard some really good tracks and I also remember the first track that I heard which is called : the muses rapt - spiritual healing. From this day I started to listen to psy - music and began to create some tunes for fun.

Do you have any past in another music style?

Well I really like to hear rock bands like : AC-DC, Iron Maiden, Dio, Metallica, Sonata Artica, Steve Vai and many others. I also usued to play the guitar which I have learned when I was a child.

When you decided to start yours project?

Well I decided to start my first project in 2001 under the name "Beat Hackers" together with a friend. We released a lot of tracks in the best Labels like Hommega Productions, TIP World, Phonokol, USTA, Shiva Space Japan and many many others. In 2003 we released our first debut album called "System Error" which was big success in the psyscene.We played all around the world in big festivals in Israel and also in other countries. After three great years of work together we decided to split up and try our luck in other projects. I started to work under my new name "MIDITEC" and released tracks in some compilation in Spliff Music, USTA and YSE. In 2005 I released my first debut album "Midi Station" in USTA. This album was also a really great success and I played in great parties around the world and also in in my home country Israel.

You had supports of anybody that already it produced electronic music or you tried your alone luck?

Well yes - I had big supports from my good friends Alon and Nir (Psycraft ) who seem to be the the best act in Israel nowadays - with their succeeded album "Computech".
I also got big support from Infected Mushroom and last but not least Astrix.

As you felt yourself when you finished your first music?

Well when I finished my first track I was really excited of course but after I finished one after another it becomes better and better.

Do you have a good life only living as a psytrance producer?

Yes, of course. I have a good life - I have a girlfriend who want to get married with me and also I am learning in the university for engenieering when I finished my studies.

How do you see your contributions with other projects, whats your relation with them? And with portuguese artists?

Welll i think that my contribution with other artists is great and I made lots of tracks with great artists in the past like Shiva Jorg, Bizzare Contact, Psycraft, Melicia, Michele Adamason and also I made with my ex partner guy peled a great remix to Infected Mushroom's track "Elation Station" which was a really good success. My relation to them is great, and with portuguese artists it is also great - I have worked just with Cosmic Station with whom I made some really great tracks. One of the tracks is released in my album which is called "Crystal Vision" and soon will release more tracks of us together in great compilations.

What is hapenned to the project Beat Hackers, why you and your ex-partener have decided to work alone.

Well all I can say about this is we decided to split because we wanted to try our ways in other projects but we are still good friends.

What is the result of your fist solo album, it had the success that one expected?

Yes my first solo album was a big success as I appreciated it. It was played all around the world, sold great but the next album will be more unique and much more professional. The people have to wait to see what I mean about the next album that will be released in my new label "PSYTROPIC RECORDS" from Germany.

With which labels are you working in that moment, how is your relation with them?

Well now I am working with "PSYTROPIC RECORDS" from Germany where I will release my second album in a couple of months. The name of the album will be : "GALAXY WAVE" and my relation with them is great. Thomas, the owner of this label is a great person and also a great manager. He takes care of all and there are not a lot of people who are like him.

Do you prefere making a live or a dj set?

Well I prefer to make Live Act +Dj Set. I absolutely like to do both.

The mp3 trades on the internet are a very big problem for the artist and labels, what you think about that?

All I can say about the mp3 traders that its bad for our cd sales. One good thing about the internet is the spread of information and promotion for an artist who become more easily and rapidly known with the internet.

What you find of the trance movement in the world?

In my opinion the trance is moving really fast and a lot of new artists in all over the world are comingh up and I think that people should look for something new in the psy-music and not making the same. Further I think Cosmic Station is going to be the next promising act in the portuguese scene.

I listen to rock music some Isareli music, MTV and for sure trance music.

A message for who is to start one project in the trance music.

My massage for people who are starting to create trance music is "Try your best and don't make the same style. Try to think about something unique and new!!!!!"
