Yes well, you believe in the event, we dont.
First of all, the setup and background is unprofessional, as described earlier. This is not the picture I would want painted to the public.
Second of all, its fake. Perhaps not the party, but the whole concept. Do you expect us to back it up, when that is so obvious to everyone here ?
Ask yourself instead, could it be that you have been blinded - either by your own nomination, or the anticipation of playing your set on the town square of our capital ?
Because you seem blinded, "its only about the party" - if you go see the website, it sure isnt. To the rest of the world but you, it sure isnt.

So you keep saying, or else its not an oportunity at all, perhaps its actually the exact opposite of what you want it to be.
Do you really think what "Denmark" is going to see is anything but the usual crowd going at it ? Afterall, thats what you see at almost all pictures taken at huge events in Copenhagen.
Anyway - Why make a discrace of an awardshow when what you really just want to do is make a party at town square ?
If you intend to feed me with the sentence "it was the only way to do it", you can forget about it. I know better.
Also, imagine if the show is a super duper success, is Franz Preiz really the guy you want leading such a project ? Given his history, and also his clear unprofessional approach to the concept/award show, letting himself be nominated while controlling the websites who count the votes ? Its a joke.
I really wonder, why you are unable to fathom that so many people are not affraid to go out and speak their mind on this.
Most of us dont even live in Copenhagen, we have no alterior motives to try and put down this event other than our own wisdom and perception.
Funny thing is, you will find plenty of support for this event among the crowd you, so ironicly, pointed out to be the group of people the danish public shouldnt see.
While you have djs, artists - many of which have been nominated already, tell you this just smells of shit.
All the while, you have the organizer, dug in, "no comments" - Stonewalling the whole debate. No explanations, no communication....
But hey, trust your own instinct. Im sure the party will be a blast, lots of people, plenty of publicity - Perhaps you will win your ICMA award - If I win it, I wont accept it.

the way its been put up here is totally wrong tho, looks like it all centers around some useless nominees aimed at some artists thats not even gonna play there or barely represent dk, like myself.. those nominees are totally bs imo, just take it for what it is, and focus on the music and the party in itself - its a free event, you can show up and have a good time or you can stay at home and have your opinion.
