Joke of the year for sure.
A closed little circle of friends that never did much for Denmark outside their low quality clubs and parties in Copenhagen.
Bryggen nomineed as the club of the year? yeah right  .
DJ Phill an important name representing Denmark? Yeah right!
A few ok an well deserved nominees but far from enough of the names that put Denmark on the international map. The rest ofd the nominees. As I said a joke.
Who really need these stupid award shows?

I support TrippyJohnny and Bes on this.
This is the first time I see this event being advertised internationally, and then not even by the people behind it.
A few days back, I did a google and yahoo search - no hits but the main site.
Its an "international" award competition, but is so centered around Denmark and Copenhagen in particular. Actually, its centered around a select little group of artists who have been featured on the website before everybody else... For some reason the same artists are all on the lineup for the "award show" as well.
The person behind this project is himself a nominee in some of the categories. Pretty problematic, considering he is also the guy who has the website controls and everything.

As I said on electrobeat, what in the hell am I doing on that list??.. Not to be rude or anything, but please ask me another time before putting my name up on something like this :/
Would be nice to have my first tune released aswell before I go "international" with anything and it would for sure not be something called "international club awards" if I had to decide myself - that small circle of ppl in DK who actually knows my music, would agree with that im sure.. |

After reading all this I'm about to explode and say alot of bad things but I'm gonna control myself and put put it mildly.
What is wrong with you guys, not one of you mention that we gonna have a party for free in the middle of Copenhagen, which is what this is all about, in stead you all just bitch about some nominee and I seriously don't understand why.
The organisers are from the normal trance scene and have basically just invited the psytrance and all you do is bitch.
As an artist myself I'm more than happy to finally see an event that exposes our music so that we can get away from the classic "young people on drugs" as headliners every half year on the national newspaper. This is a chance to show the society what psytrance is all about but right now all you show is pure negativity.
I mean if everyone there is like you we gonna have a horrible party with only few people and this kind of event will not happen again. If we instead show up as many people as possible, dance like crazy, cheer and clap, and just be happy the whole society will say "damn this is da shit" If this happens then I'm sure the same event will happen again next year and then you can all be part of making the nominee list excactly how you like.

Oh, then why is the mainstage at the afterparty playing psytrance and not normal trance?
And why is there no mentioning at all on the http://www.trancedjs.dk site (or the forum for that matter) about this event?
This is indeed a VERY psytrance oriented event.

I agree that an event like this CAN be a way to show the positive side of the scene to the general public, but in this specific case I just can't take it serious. You make it sound like it's almost mandatory to show up and support this, or else you're labelled as a whiner and a bad representative for the scene. I couldn't disagree more.
And that "maybe it will be better next year" argument is very weak. Why not try to make it right the first time, instead of rejecting very valid suggestions and complaints as whining?
