Me and my man sat in one spot the whole evening (due to technical difficulties with the mind  hehehe) and giggled at everyone who did something funny. We saw the same stuff that happened and didnt even have to say anything to each other, we spoke with eyes. At one point a buddy of ours had his hand up and rocking to the tunes and my man thought he was giving him a high5!!! HAHAHA!! I never laughed so hard!!!

Alright, my second trance party. There's was this dude (very, very probably high on drugs) staring at this small choped tree trunk for about one minute, and then all of a sudden he jumps over it, lands on his feet and looks back again at the choped tree with this look on his face like he had jumped over the grand canyon!!
Same guy at the same party; raises his arms high up in the air, starts running like a mad man and vanishes into the woods. Didn't see him for the rest of the party.
The seed is planted within each one of us. Let Trance be the one that makes it flower. |

the best laugh I got a a party was at a new years bash in Tokyo and there were a group of Japanese kids carrying a HUGE cardboard sign the read 'GMS' (they were playing at the time) and then they flipped it over the oter sdie said 'GO!'
Then they came out later when 1200 mics was playing with a huge sign that said '1200Mic' and on the other side it said 'GREAT!'
I could not believe there were actual GMS 'fans' at a party!! I felt like I was at the Super Bowl or something!! My friends and I almost pissed our pants laughing.

at the vortex millenium bash in cape town at about 10pm on nye, i needed to pee so walked off without a torch into the bushes. i didn't know that there was 3m deep ditch hidden somewhere in the bushes and couldn't see me hand in front of me face so walked straight into the ditch...must've looked like one of those cartoon characters walking off a cliff or something.
eventually me missus was wondering where the hell i was and she came with some other peeps to help me out...heh heh...when i got out i was pretty pleased...said to the guys who helped me "life is a journey to be lived, not a problem to be solved", put on some dry clothes and hit the floor for hallucinogen followed by etnica!! yum!!
was a defining moment in me life tho', i sorta came round, winded, lying in a stream in a ditch...i coulda fallen anywhere, broken bones, impaled meself on branches, but didn't, HOURS before the turn of the millenium...eish... |

not insane but certainly silly was my experience in Tokyo a few years back(1999ish). mark allen played a party in this club underneath parking garage. club had 2 rooms one of which could be reached by walking down a hall one wall of which was glass. so as you walked down the hall you can see the dancefloor through the wall.
long story short: me on dance floor turn around and see my girlfriend leaning against wall(not the glass one). i walk towards her and smack full on into the glass wall. she cracks up, people on her side are laughing. i just grinned and went back to dancin.

not insane but deffinatly wierd was the mini tornado that hit The XPO festival In Bulgaria right in the end of my set. the wierd thing is that the last two trax I played were titled Storm followed by Winds Of War... I didnt know I had such powers.... If I'd know I certainly would'nt playem - hiding in a truck for 1.5 hours soaking wet is not my idea of fun....
A.Rosengren - there is no such thing as a normal party. it was probably a house party or you were way to wasted to notice the wierdness...

in the middle of the forest last weekend we somehow broke our generator! my friend thought he imagined another generator and no longer than 10min later came back with 6 people rolling a new generator! then when we ran out of gas, we attached the mackies to a car battery somehow, but the sound would only work when my friend "the sound wave" was standing near the speakers, if he walked away the sound would go off... so he danced next to the sound and we happily danced away the day to the trippiest music ever heard...hmmm, weird magical forest! |

speaking of generators, one cut out at small party i was at a while back. it cut out at the optimum time of night where everyone was buzzing, me incl. some bright spark who cut the wood for the bonfire appropriately started using his chainsaw just as the music cut out. i felt like i was in some bad texas chainsaw massacre redo. needless to say i found myself in the foetal possition in my car when the music came back on... not so much funny incident, rather a soil ur pants escapade... |
