Just wondering what were the Psy albums that influenced you personally and how?
Here are mine: Astral Projection – Another World, the album that took me into the realms of psychedelia.
Hux Flux – Cryptic Crunch, this album ended my Goa addiction, after this album all the Astral Projection stuff seem to be Diet.
KoxBox – The Great Unknown – One of the most intelligent Psy Albums ever created, made me think, mostly, how the f%&k they did those tracks.
Shpongle – Are you Shpongled? / Tales of the inexpressible. After those ones I wanted to burn all my cd collection (Really). Everything was so obsolete in comparison to those two.
Since then, there was nothing that touched me much, on the album level.

It's not another best albums thread, what i really wanna know is what albums that really impacted your perception of music
Everyone in the world is doing something without me

Union Jack - There Will Be No Armaggedon

Smooth, brilliant, powerful, deep. Years later, and I still listen to it.

Hallucinogen - Twisted

The one album causing me to fall in love with trance. Up to then, I liked the music a lot, but this was the first mindblowing trance experience for me. Naturally, I was the reason that half the record shop owners in Haifa imported his Lone Deranger (I was talking about it for ages before it came out), another one of those albums that blew me away.

TIP's Phosphorescent was the next landmark for me - each track a classic and the first big step towards the darker side of psy, like all TIP compilations - this one was a vision of things to come.

The next one was Shiva Chandra's Gecko, which made my move to the progressive side of trance complete - up to then, I really didn't get the magic of this music at 100%. And I do believe it to be Daniel's most proffesional album to date - the only reason people don't like it as much as his earlier ones is that this album isn't much of an evolution from the ones before. Not because it's objectively worse (it isn't).

oh, wow. excellent question.
well, to me it was the basics, i belive.
to begin with, i've been heavily influenced by the great Juan Verdera, in the Spiritual healing Album, which opened me up to electronic music and trance, specifically. Juno Reactor's Bible of dreams would have to register as another influence, as well as shango.
Infected were probably the reason i got into trance making in the first place, after nearly running classical mushroom to dust in my CD player. evidently, BTW, my style is quite different. you'll soon see why. onward to the proggressive elements - BLT's Presence is probably one of the single CD's i have listned persistantly to for more than a month, trying to grasp all of it's intruiges.
onwards to the techtrance division - X-dream, anyone?

Atmos - Headcleaner most avant garde album ever...
the music that made me see why depth and flow are important, and what the word PROGRESSIVE means...
but the disc that made me a trance nut in the first place was "The Gathering"....           the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist....

first of all classical mushroom from infected mushroom. the first psy album that sounded absolutely perfect for me. every song, every note still kills me when i hear it!! another album that is in the same perfect category is hallucinogen: twisted.

my third choice is yahel: waves of sound. the most beautyfull, emotional melodies ever in trance!           Something 'bout those little pills - Unreal the thrills they yield - Until they kill a million brain cells - I'm going down to... La La Land!

Everything began when i bought the first 2 pulse compilations and Tan Trance.. Then i discovered Astral Projection!
Tracks like Kabalah , Enlighted Evolution , Mahadeva, moved me from Techno-Hard_Breakbeat to Goa Trance.
Classic tracks to mention those years are Kox Box - Fuel On, Transwave- Rezwalker, Juno Reactor - Guardian Angel, Ux - Master Of the Universe, and so many others.. . But my true favorite discovery , the ultimate sound of the german Psychomachine X-dream... From protoplasm and panic to paradise to Radio and Psychomachine ... Radio is the album that moved me from goa to absolute powerfull psychedelic..
ALSO! The Cryptic Crunch album by Hux Flux , Killer album , again this album move me deeper to a powerfull trip..

It was then that the Spirallianz album that came and Midimiliz and the tech addiction just started... The the new delta and x-dream came , the wizzy noise ,3.turn , authentic and lots of others...
