where do we draw the line, infected on mtv just sounds wrong to me. Hey if thats what erez and duvdev want then who am i to say anything except that they are no longer underground but instead mainstream music. MTV has killed intelligent music as we know it, this is why i was such a big fan of goa trance when i first heard it, because it was underground and not mainstream. Now we have psytrance artists trying to get on mtv and join up with the music killers, well all i can say is that infected mushrooms music is starting to sound a lot more like pop-trance then anything else! Also one more thing about infecteds desire for commercialism: i'm looking at their website and they are playing in the KU millenium club and the Haoman and the Pacha, whats next Allenby 58? maybe they can team up with Eran Barneya, wouldnt that be nice!! Truly the sad state of trance today!!! |

IM are already in the Israeli mainstream. That comes built-in when you work with guys like Berry Sacharof. Like it or not, it's their decisions, they do it so far with considerable taste and like it or not some ppl enjoying it. I don't think that it comes from greed, just a desire to reach new audiences, because their home audience is too greedy and prefers download their music for free and then to rant about them being too commercial.

Dudes chill out -
If you haevnt noticed most bands that actually write there own music start off UNDERGROUND, then they grow - there doing what they want. And the more people hear them , the more connected people will become with trance!
You guys are just being greedy.
Besides , this seems more like a odd job they did for fun more than anything.

You obviously have no clue what 'underground' really means. if you think that bieng on mtv means reaching a wider audience then your wrong. being on mtv mean you reach whatever audience they decide, you reach the mtv audience. granted, that might be the largest audience out there these days but if you want to play music for those people who watch mtv just to see a new catchy tune in 1.5 minutes and then move on and wait for the unReal World to come on then i say to infected: you guys are workin way too hard, continue to dumb it down a bit and you will be perfect and mtv will love you, may you have a rich rich wealthy rich greedy rich rich wealthy life!!! |

I'm not looking at this from an angry or greedy perspective, what I want to say is that sooner or later the infected we all loved is going to be more mainstream and less complex music...it makes me feel sad for what it's worth, but like madmardigan said...who are we to say what erez and duvdev want to to with their music...but we can't all forget the fact that most artists that emerge from the underground and become mainstream also become a bunch of crap! that is a well known fact and no one can say that it isn't so...there are hundereds of examples from all other music scenes...from hip hop, to metal and so on...

hey dude - there not in a video on mtv , they did an ad for mtv - who cares. I find the most Unaccepting people in underground scenes. regardless of the style
